Abstract:
A mobile lift device having a load moving device capable of engaging a load is provided. The mobile lift device includes one or more systems for stabilizing the mobile lift device during operation of the load moving device. According to one exemplary embodiment, the mobile lift device is a heavy duty wrecker having a rotatable boom assembly. The heavy duty wrecker comprises a monitoring system for stabilizing the wrecker during operation of the boom assembly. The monitoring system comprises a plurality of sensors and a monitoring circuit coupled to the sensors to generate a force signal representative of at least one force being applied to the wrecker based upon the transmitted signals.

Abstract:
A control subsystem for an electric motor determines whether power was interrupted, and delays torque production if power was interrupted. The control subsystem may employ two separate non-volatile memory locations, or alternatively a single non-volatile memory location.
Abstract:
A rotation information detection device detects rotation information of a DC motor based on a surge component waveform superimposed on a voltage waveform between the terminals of the DC motor or a current waveform of the DC motor, a circuit is provided which supplies a current of a current value Ipwm 45% during motor forward rotation or Ipwm 55% during reverse motor rotation to the motor over the period from when the motor starts braking operation to when it stops.
Abstract:
A technique for configuring programmable, networked electrical components of a system includes downloading data into each component from a configurator, based upon a database for the system. The components include memory objects which are designed to store data descriptive of the system, the component, the component location in the system, and the component configuration. The configurator may load the information prior to, during or following assembly of the components in the system. The configurator may also modify system and component configurations following installation of the system by modifying the data downloaded into the individual components.
Abstract:
A system for controlling a regulator equipped with an electric servomotor in a motor vehicle. With reference to an example of an electronic steering system that has an electric-motor steering regulator, output parameters are generated by a model-assisted monitor for evaluating the suitability of a correction for the regulator, and thus criteria for a possible shutdown or to initiate emergency action, as a function of setpoint parameters for the electric servomotor, of instantaneous parameters measured by individual sensors, and of the driving state, and, based on a setpoint behavior of the regulator and on a model simulating the control sections it contains.
Abstract:
A movable barrier operator having improved safety and energy efficiency features automatically detects line voltage frequency and uses that information to set a worklight shut-off time. The operator automatically detects the type of door (single panel or segmented) and uses that information to set a maximum speed of door travel. The operator moves the door with a linearly variable speed from start of travel to stop for smooth and quiet performance. The operator provides for full door closure by driving the door into the floor when the DOWN limit is reached and no auto-reverse condition has been detected. The operator provides for user selection of a minimum stop speed for easy starting and stopping of sticky or binding doors.

Abstract:
A DC fan using a power supply and sleep/non-sleep-mode signals for controlling the rotating speed thereof includes a DC brushless motor and a power sleep-mode control unit. The DC brushless motor serves as a driving source of the DC fan. The power sleep-mode control unit is electrically connected to the DC brushless motor for receiving the power supply and the sleep/non-sleep-mode signals, thereby outputting an operating power supply and controlling the rotating speed of the DC brushless motor.
