    Abstract: A command-and-control module for communications, ideally in military operating conditions, is adapted for easy insertion into, and removal from, a portable case. A chassis has front and rear vertical plates secured, e.g. welded, to a horizontal plate. At least one DIN rail, for securing electrical and electronic equipment, is mounted to a vertical plate. The case has electrical ports and outlets as well as multiple features to protect the sensitive electronic equipment inside. Shock absorbers between the horizontal plate and the inner surface of the case protect the equipment from mechanical shock. A thermoelectric cooler keeps the equipment from overheating. An inner cover protects the equipment from dust. The inner cover is bolted to the chassis. The chassis is not otherwise affixed to the case. When the bolts are removed, the chassis is easily lifted out by handles.

    Abstract: Systems and apparatus for housing electronics for industrial systems, such as industrial product marking systems, include a cabinet including: a frame defining an exterior channel; a side panel that attaches to the frame, and a handle located in the side panel and defining a vent hole within the handle, the vent hole being aligned with the channel, thereby allowing air to cool equipment when present within an interior portion of the frame. The systems and apparatus further include a cabinet including: a frame; and a panel configured to attach to a side of the frame separate from its two walls; wherein each of the two walls on opposite sides of the frame defines a shape that receives a structure to support the cabinet and receives fasteners on both sides of the wall to mount equipment on both an interior portion of the frame and an exterior portion of the frame.

    Abstract: A rack fan speed regulation method based on a fan table provided in a node BMC is provided, which includes: providing a fan table reflecting a rack fan speed regulation policy in a BMC of each node server; acquiring, by the node BMC, a parameter reflecting a heat dissipation condition of a node motherboard; and acquiring, by the node BMC based on the speed regulation policy, a fan rotation speed corresponding to the parameter rapidly. With the rack fan speed regulation method, the node BMC can rapidly obtain parameters reflecting a heat dissipation condition of a node motherboard, and rapidly obtain a corresponding fan rotation speed based on the speed regulation policy. In this case, heat dissipation of the node can be controlled effectively in a timely manner, thereby ensuring heat dissipation of the rack.

    Abstract: Optimized conditioning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centers containing sensible heat generating equipment is achieved by indirect air-side economizing. In this process, the conditioned primary air stream is recirculated through a plate-type cross-flow heat exchanger, in which the cross-flow consists of a completely segregated cooler secondary ambient air stream. The air-to-air cross-flow heat exchanger comprises a series of parallel square or rectangular plates, which define a series of orthogonally alternating air passageways. This cross-flow design effectively prevents the mixing or blending of the primary and secondary air streams and thus avoids the efficiency losses and process airstream cross-contamination due to leakage, which is inherent in wheel type heat exchangers. The unique modular tunnel design of the cross-flow plate heat exchanger arrangement offers unit scalability and adjustability for various capacities and space demands. Real-time sensing of thermal demands and variable capacity control, coupled with on-demand mechanical cooling and humidification provisions, facilitate continuous operational optimization in all demands and ambient conditions.
