Abstract: An LED lighting device is disclosed. The example LED lighting device includes an LED circuit having at least two LEDs connected in series that emit a color temperature of white light. The example LED lighting device also includes a switch configured to be manually switched by a user to change the color temperature of white light that is emitted from the LED circuit. Switching the switch changes the color temperature of light emitted from the LED circuit by dimming or increasing a brightness of the at least two LEDs.

Abstract: A lighting device including an LED light source, wherein the LED light source includes a first LED strand for generating a first light with a first correlated color temperature and a second LED strand for generating a second light with a second color temperature different from the first color temperature. The lighting device further comprises control electronics with a controllable LED driver for driving the LED light source, wherein the control electronics comprise a switch for switching between the first LED strand and the second LED strand so that either the first LED strand or the second LED strand is activated depending on the switch position. A lighting system comprising the lighting device is further disclosed.

Abstract: A load regulation device, such as an LED driver, may be configured to control the intensity of a light source based on an analog control signal and a preconfigured dimming curve. The LED driver may sense a magnitude of the analog control signal and determine a new low-end and/or high-end control signal magnitude that falls outside of the input signal range of the dimming curve. The LED driver may rescale the preconfigured dimming curve according to new low-end and/or high-end control signal magnitudes and dim the light source based on the rescaled dimming curve. Multiple LED drivers controlled by the same analog control signal may communicate with each other regarding the magnitude of the analog control signal sensed by each LED driver, and match their target intensity levels despite sensing different analog control signal. A controller may be provided to coordinate the operation of the multiple LED drivers.

Abstract: An illumination device and method are provided herein for calibrating individual LEDs in the illumination device to obtain a desired luminous flux and a desired chromaticity of the device over changes in drive current, temperature, and over time as the LEDs age. The calibration method may include subjecting the illumination device to a first ambient temperature, successively applying at least three different drive currents to a first LED to produce illumination at three or more different levels of brightness, obtaining a plurality of optical measurements from the illumination produced by the first LED at each of the at least three different drive currents, obtaining a plurality of electrical measurements from the photodetector and storing results of the obtaining steps within the illumination device to calibrate the first LED at the first ambient temperature. The plurality of optical measurements may generally include luminous flux and chromaticity, the plurality of electrical measurements may generally include induced photocurrents and forward voltages, and the calibration method steps may be repeated for each LED included within the illumination device and upon subjecting the illumination device to a second ambient temperature.
