摘要: A sound output device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a speaker configured to generate sound; a guide tube formed in a shape of a hollow tube, the guide tube configured to receive the sound generated from the speaker, through an end of the guide tube, and output the received sound; and a waveguide disposed between the speaker and the guide tube. The waveguide includes a throat tube configured to connect the speaker and the guide tube to each other, and formed in a shape of a hollow tube, and at least one path change structure configured to adjust a predetermined frequency band of the sound in a process of transmitting the sound generated from the speaker to the guide tube.

摘要: A compact audio woofer arrangement for a motor vehicle includes an enclosure installed in the motor vehicle. The enclosure contains a woofer or subwoofer emitting a sound. The enclosure includes a primary and secondary through-hole. The primary through-hole allows the woofer to interface with the interior of the vehicle and provides sound directly from the enclosure into a passenger compartment at the primary location. A extended vent acting as an acoustic transmission line is coupled to the second through-hole. The vent transmits sound from the enclosure to a secondary location remote from the primary location, such that the sound is emitted into the adjacent passenger compartment. The primary and secondary acoustic outputs differ by physical location in the motor vehicle, and also by frequency response of the emitted sound, thereby emulating a quasi-stereo environment.

摘要: A method of operating an audio system that includes a wearable personal acoustic device having an acoustic driver and an auxiliary acoustic driver includes generating a first acoustic signal having a range of acoustic frequencies at the acoustic driver. A first change of operational mode of the wearable personal acoustic device is requested. In response to the request, a second acoustic signal having a first sub-range of the acoustic frequencies is generated at the acoustic driver and a third acoustic signal having a second sub-range of the acoustic frequencies is generated at the auxiliary acoustic driver. The first sub-range of the acoustic frequencies is different from the second sub-range of the acoustic frequencies and the range of acoustic frequencies is inclusive of the first and second sub-ranges of the acoustic frequencies.

摘要: An Acoustic meta material (AMM) device for passive amplification of sound is described. The AMM amplifier device employs a deep sub-wavelength resonator design with high refraction index, which uses resonant amplification of the bass sound. An array of sub wavelength, single frequency channels are used, each resonating and amplifying at a different frequency in the bass frequency range. This is accomplished by having many different channels, each with an opening extending in a same, common, or substantially common direction. Thus, sound emanating from a speaker in a first direction continues in this direction until reaching and entering the openings of the plurality of channels. The sound from the speaker is in all transmitted frequencies of, for example, a musical recording or the like. However, only a specific frequency and/or harmonics thereof are substantially propagated through each channel.

The base is configured to engage a support surface (i.e., a table) and the speaker is configured to emit sounds (i.e., fire) in a direction of the base. The speaker waveguide is disposed between the speaker and the microphone waveguide, while the microphone waveguide is disposed between the speaker waveguide and the base. The two or more microphones are disposed within the microphone waveguide and are proximate to the base. In general, the speaker waveguide is configured to guide sounds output by the speaker in general radially (outward) directions.

A vibration dampening element connects the sound outlet and the assembly sound outlet. The vibration dampening element is formed by an elastic foil and is compliant to reduce vibrations from the receiver to the assembly housing.
