Abstract:
Systems for and methods of delivering telephone calls using the combination of a data channel and a voice channel are disclosed. A data channel connection with the telephone handset may provide pre-call information used to set up incoming and outgoing calls which are ultimately connected using a voice channel. Use of the pre-call information may permit the same handset to be associated with multiple secondary telephone numbers from which calls appear to have been made and to which calls appear to have been placed.
Abstract:
Provided are a conference access method and a conference access apparatus. The method includes: receiving a call from a calling user, wherein information of a number called by the calling user includes a number of a called user and a number prefix, the called user is a conference member of a conference room, and the number prefix is used for accessing a conference system; and accessing the calling user to the conference room of the conference system. Through the technical solution, the problem that the calling user cannot join the conference due to various reasons in the related arts is solved, the flow of accessing the calling user to the conference room is optimized, the scope of application of the conference access method is expanded, and the efficiency and the success rate of accessing the calling user to the conference room are increased.
Abstract:
Implementations disclosed herein relate to systems and methods for conference screening. According to one implementation, a method includes connecting a participant to a multi-mode conference in a listen-only mode and receiving a request of active participation in the multi-mode conference from the participant. In response to receipt of the request for active participation, the participant is bridged into a private screening subconference, and information relating to the participant's requested active participation to the multi-mode conference is received via the private screening subconference responsive to a prompt. In response to the receipt of the information via the private screening subconference, the participant is placed in a queue to await authorization for active participation in the multi-mode conference, the queue including at least one other participant previously screened in another private screening sub-conference. The method further includes detecting selection of the participant from the queue, and establishing a connection between the participant and the multi-mode conference based on detection of the selection.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for threshold activation of an audio teleconference. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for threshold activation of an audio teleconference is provided. The method includes receiving calls into a conference bridge for an audio conference and determining whether or not a threshold number of calls from corresponding callers have been received for the audio conference. The method also includes initiating the audio conference responsive to a threshold number of callers having called into the audio conference, but prohibiting initiation of the audio conference until the threshold number of callers have called into the audio conference.
Abstract:
A method for scheduling a meeting using an email client that is part of an email system includes receiving a request at the email client to schedule the meeting. The request may include an indication of the resources that are to be provided by a conferencing system for the meeting. The method also includes communicating the request to a conference bridge that is part of the conferencing system and receiving from the conference bridge an access code associated with the meeting. The method also includes appending the access code to a meeting invitation associated with the meeting and providing the meeting invitation to an email server that is part of the email system. The method also includes sending the meeting invitation to users invited to participate in the meeting.
Abstract:
A conferencing system receives information identifying a user and retrieves calendar information specifying scheduled events of the user. The conferencing system selects one of the events and joins the user to the event without the user manually entering information about the event.
Abstract:
A telecommunication system includes a processor, interfaces in communication with the public telephone network and a data network, respectively, and a memory. The memory comprises executable instructions that when executed by the processor direct the system to controllably permit access to a teleconference bridge in response to a communication from a mobile-communication device that includes information responsive to a previously communicated license key. Generally, the communication is in the form of a call from the user of the mobile-communication device. Upon receipt of the call, the telecommunication system confirms that the mobile-communication device communicates a pass code that was included in an encrypted form in the license key.
Abstract:
A user equipment, method, non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, a system of connecting a user equipment to a conference system are provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a conference dialer application receives a meeting notification from a calendar application, where the meeting notification describes a meeting hosted on a conference system and includes at least one conference access code used to access the conference system. The conference dialer application prompts the user for voice input. The conference dialer application receives a first voice input from the user indicating to the user equipment to join the meeting on the conference system. The conference dialer application, responsive to the first voice input, automatically supplies the at least one conference access code in order to join the meeting. Finally, the conference dialer application, via a telephone dialer application, connects the user equipment to the meeting on the conference system.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of providing a teleforum. The method includes generating simultaneous outbound invitation calls to multiple invitees and transmitting a message to each invitee, inviting him or her to become a teleforum participant. Teleforum participants who accept the invitation are connected to the teleforum in a listen-only mode. During the teleforum, a teleforum participant may request active participation in the teleforum. The method also includes allowing the participant to actively participate in the teleforum. Active participation may include but is not limited to such activities as: speaking to the teleforum, asking a question, responding to a poll, making a donation, providing information, leaving a message, being transferred to a subconference, receiving feedback from participants, leaving a voicemail, volunteering for future activities or receiving media transmitted outside of the teleforum.
Abstract:
The present invention allows a user to customize her personal conference bridge such that conference participants who connect to the bridge are provided conference information selected by the user. In particular, after each conference participant gains access to the personal conference bridge, the conference information is delivered to a terminal of the conference participant. Although the user associated with the personal conference bridge may be a conference participant, delivery of conference information to the user is optional. The conference information may be any type of media content, or information identifying the location of media content to present to the conference participants.
