Abstract:
Multifunctional case for cell phones or tablet devices with flip, sliding, and adjustable lenses for viewing a screen and consumer needs is disclosed. It gives the consumer various ways of being able to solve the copious daily need for reading glasses.
Abstract:
Various embodiments include devices and methods that allow a display device to, among other things, substantially match reflected color or luminance, or both, between a lens border and an active area of the display device. In one embodiment, a circular polarizer located external to a display area of the device is used. In one embodiment an additional quarter wave retarder located external to the display area is used.
Abstract:
The display unit displays two-dimensional picture. When the panel unit is at the first position, the microlens unit confronts the display unit with the spacing substantially equal to the focal length of the microlens unit. Therefore, the two-dimensional picture is visualized as a pseudo-stereoscopic picture. On the other hand, when the panel unit is at the second position, the microlens unit does not confront the display unit, and hence a user can directly see the two-dimensional picture on the display unit.
Abstract:
A portable radio device permits the user to use contents on the Internet with a sufficiently large display screen size without impairing the portability of its own. The portable radio device has a lid, a lower device portion, and an upper device portion. The lid is angularly movably mounted on the lower device portion by a joint, and can be folded over the lower device portion. The upper device portion is angularly connected to the lower device portion by a hinge, and can be folded over the lower device portion and the lid which has been folded over the lower device portion. The lid has a concave reflecting mirror disposed on the reverse side thereof. The lower device portion includes a projection display device disposed on a surface thereof for projecting an image onto the concave reflecting mirror when the lid is opened. Light rays of the displayed image are projected from the projection display device and reflected by the concave reflecting mirror and recognized as representing an enlarged image by the user.
Abstract:
Hand-held devices combine smartphones and electronic binoculars. In “in-phone” embodiments, binocular functionality is integrated directly into the housing or body of a smartphone modified in accordance with the invention, whereas, in “in-case” embodiments, the binoculars are integrated into a case to receive a smartphone which may be of conventional design. In either case, components within the phone may be used for image manipulation, image storage, and/or sending and receiving/streaming stereoscopic/3D motion imagery. The objective lenses for the binoculars are preferably supported on or in one of the longer side edges of the phone or case, whereas the display magnifying eyepieces are preferably associated with the opposing longer side edge of the phone or case. As such, in use, a user holds the phone or case in a generally horizontal plane during use as binoculars.
Abstract:
A portable terminal comprises a first body 104 on which the first display surface 102 is formed, a second body 108 on which the second display surface 106 is formed, and hinge units which combine the first body 104 and the second body 108 in a foldable way. The first display surface 102 and the second display surface 106 form a combined display 112 continuously at a time of opening the first body 104 and the second body 108, and it further comprises a display control unit which displays one information on the whole combined display 112. Two display screens respectively formed in the individual bodies are used effectively.
Abstract:
A cellular telephone with a magnification device, an illumination device, a display device, and operating system implementing basic functions is disclosed.
Abstract:
A multi-section visual display having an overlapping structure is disclosed, and includes a first magnifying lens, a second magnifying lens, a first display apparatus having a first display panel and a second display apparatus having a second display panel, wherein the second display apparatus is disposed between the first magnifying lens and the first display apparatus, and the second magnifying lens is aligned with the first magnifying lens in an edge-to-edge manner. While at an operation state, a first border area of the first display panel is partially overlapped with a second border area of the second display panel, thereby reducing the non-display area needing shielding by using a virtual image display from the first display panel/magnifying lens to shield a portion of the second border area, thus reducing the space required between the magnifying lenses and the first display panel.
Abstract:
A vehicular holding module includes a frame for holding an electronic device, and a display device. The electronic device has a screen. The display device is disposed at a side of the frame for zooming information displayed on the screen.
