摘要:
A teleprinter for n-step codes having a type cylinder which can be adjusted by a stepping motor by means of rotating the type cylinder in both directions comprises a position comparing device and an n-digit electronic binary counter for counting marks arranged in a row at the circumference of a timing disk carried for rotation with the type cylinder. The position of the timing disk is compared electronically with the received code combination associated with the type to be positioned and the type carrier is operated to the next circumferential position in accordance with the lesser distance of travel in the advance or reset direction of rotation of the type carrier.

A pair of electrical coils, which are disposed in a magnetic flux field, are constrained for movement in intersecting paths in a plane. A mechanical coupling assembly has a first part connected to one of said coils and to a second part of said assembly. The other of said coils is connected to said second part. A displaceable member is also connected to said second part and has a single position in a plane for each combination of positions of the coils along their respective paths.

A pair of electrical coils are constrained for movement in different directions in the flux field of a magnet and are coupled together for producing a combined output in a single path responsive to the simultaneous magnetomovement of the coils.

Drivable type dies of a teleprinter are supported in intersecting rows and columns from a type carrier which is arranged for adjustment in intersecting paths at successive stations to which the carrier is moved for presenting any selected die in a position for character reproduction. Adjustment and movement of the carrier and translocation of an impeller to successive printing stations for driving successively selected dies between print and non-print modes results from magnetomotive phenomena generated by a linear electric motor.
摘要:
Driveable type dies of a teleprinter are supported in intersecting rows and columns from a type carrier which is arranged for adjustment in intersecting paths at successive stations to which the carrier is moved for presenting any selected die in a position for character reproduction. Adjustment and movement of the carrier and translocation of an impeller to successive printing stations for driving successively selected dies between print and non-print modes results from magnetomotive phenomena generated by a linear electric motor. In the magnetic flux field of the motor, a pair of mechanically coupled electrical coils are adapted magnetomotively to produce (1) vertical adjustment of an output member to which the carrier is secured and in a path corresponding to type row adjustment, (2) horizontal adjustment of a trolley from which the output member is adjustably carried and in a path corresponding to type column adjustment and (3) horizontal stepping movement of said trolley to successive printing stations. A magnetomotive force, which a third electrical coil of the motor is adapted to induce, steps the impeller to successive printing stations.
