    Abstract: A device for transmitting power includes a Motor Circuit Protector (MCP) and a motorized mechanism. The MCP includes contacts that electrically connect a power supply to a low voltage motor in a closed position, and disconnect the power supply from the low voltage motor in an open position. The motorized mechanism includes a shaft, a controller, and an electric actuator. The shaft is fixed to each of the one or more contacts, and actuates the contacts to the open and closed positions. The controller is electrically connected to the power supply, and processes operating instructions and transfers power to the electric actuator according to the operating instructions. The electric actuator actuates the shaft upon receiving the power, and the low voltage motor rotates when the power supply is connected thereto.

    Abstract: A magnetic voltage/current limiting system is mounted in conjunction with a main coil, in a coil assembly of a wind turbine generator, for limiting the outputted voltage (or current) to a predetermined upper value. The limiting system generally has at least one limiting coil and a control circuit connected to the main coil. The limiting system is configured to be activated when the voltage (or current) outputted by the main coil increases beyond the predetermined upper value. Once activated, the limiting system diverts a portion of the outputted current to the limiting coil such as to generate a magnetic field in the limiting coil. This additional magnetic field generally limits the amount magnetic field generated by passing magnets to flow through the main coil, thereby limiting the outputted voltage.

    Abstract: An apparatus for detecting interturn faults inside a rotor winding of a rotating electrical machine with a measuring device. The measuring device has at least two measuring coils oriented differently in space such that, in the case of a measuring device oriented with respect to the rotor winding, a voltage is induced inside the first measuring coil by a first directional component of the magnetic flux density B of the rotating electrical machine and a different voltage is induced inside the further measuring coil by a further directional component of this magnetic flux density B, which directional component differs from the first directional component. The at least two measuring coils oriented differently in space are arranged together on a head part of the measuring device, where interturn faults present on the rotor winding are detected based on temporal voltage profiles of the voltages induced in the two measuring coils.
