    摘要: A cable bus system for the mounting and positioning of high amperature, from low to high voltage electrical power cables transmitting polyphase electrical current. The cable bus system included a ventilated enclosure used to protect electrical cables mounted therein. The enclosure is provided with multiple modular cable trays which are bolted together in a stacked arrangement to form a single multi-level cable raceway. The enclosure is further provided with ventilated top and bottom covers which are secured respectively to the top and bottom of the uppermost and bottom most cable trays to define the enclosed metal circuit. The cable bus system is capable of transmitting the same highest allowable “free air” cable amperature in both above and underground installations, effectively improving the transmission of electrical power from one end to the other end, in installations where a transition of electrical power from below ground to above ground is either necessary or economically preferable. For the underground portion, the cable bus is installed in the encasement that is uniquely offset vented or power cooled to meet the cable high amperage requirements. The cable bus system is also suitable for high vertical rise installations when utilizing anti cable slip mechanism or technique.

    摘要: Embodiments generally relate to long-distance, 3-phase, AC electricity transmission structures. In one embodiment, the structure comprises an array of beams, the array comprising a sub-array of 3N active beams, wherein N is an integer, one passive beam on the right side of the sub-array of active beams; and one passive beam on the left side of the sub-array of active beams. The centers of the cross-section of each of the active and passive beams lie in a single plane. In another embodiment, the structure comprises an array of 3N metal active beams, wherein N is an integer; and a tunnel of rectangular cross-section with either 90 degree or rounded corners. The array of beams is mounted within the tunnel, and the two side walls of the tunnel are lined with a highly conductive metal having a thickness similar to the thickness of metal used in the active beams.

    摘要: An embodiment describes a method for installing a single power cable span in a tunnel having an entrance and an exit. The method includes positioning a head portion of the single power cable span near the entrance and laying the single power cable span in the tunnel past the exit. The laying of the single power cable span comprises repeating a plurality of sub-steps until the head portion reaches an endpoint outside the tunnel. The plurality of sub-steps includes connecting a trolley at the entrance in a slidable manner on a rail longitudinally extending along the tunnel between the entrance and the exit, joining the trolley to a pulling rope and to the single power cable span, and moving the trolley along the rail by pulling the pulling rope by a predetermined length. Another embodiment relates to an equipment for installing a single cable span in a tunnel.

    摘要: A device and method for the creation of a water proof component void form unit to create space between concrete structures and expansive soil for the passage of utility conduit lines is described. The unit includes a plurality of panels interlocked with one or more connectors and supports that pass internally through flutes within the panel members. The void space is formed from a singular panel that is scored along a score line. The score line passes only through an upper surface. The panel member is folded about the lower surface at the score line to form the void space. The panels are located in a trench and configured to define a void space underground for the passage of the utility conduit lines. The unit is configured to resist soil expansive forces so as to protect the placement and integrity of the utility conduit lines.
