摘要: A fuel cell stack has a plurality of fuel cells arranged in a row, each of them comprising a membrane separating the electrodes, with ports for the respective supply and drainage of a fuel and an oxidizer and with a tensioning device for pressing the fuel cells together, wherein the tensioning device is formed by a band and spring system having an integrated force transducer, the signal of which can be relayed to a controller for determining the moisture content based on the moisture-dependent swelling behavior of the membrane of each fuel cell. A fuel cell device with such a fuel cell stack as well as a motor vehicle having such a fuel cell device are also provided.

monitoring the operating parameter (P) to check if the critical value (Pcritical) has been reached,
setting a threshold (Nmax) for a counter (N), in particular a time-dependent counter,
monitoring the counter (N) to check if the threshold (Nmax) has been exceeded, and
carrying out a purge process (DRAIN) of the reactant chamber (A, K) if the operating parameter (P) has reached the critical value (Pcritical) and if the counter (N) has reached the threshold (Nmax).-

摘要: A computer-implemented method estimates a state of health of a humidifier of a fuel cell system for a vehicle. The method includes in response to determining that a predefined condition for vehicle onboard measurements is fulfilled: performing step response measurements, comprising measuring parameters related to dynamic response of water mass transport and heat transport of the humidifier when step increases of the fuel cell system are performed, wherein a step increase is indicative of an instantaneous power increase of the fuel cell system, and fitting the measured parameters in a humidifier aging model and therefrom estimating the state of health of the humidifier.

摘要: A device and a method for monitoring dryness of a fuel cell stack can accurately determine whether the fuel cell stack is dry or not, to ensure smooth operation and performance of the fuel cell stack during operation of a fuel cell vehicle. The device includes a voltage sensing unit that monitors voltage of the fuel cell stack in real time; a current sensing unit that monitors current of the fuel cell stack in real time; a counting unit that compares the monitored voltage with a standard current-voltage performance curve; and a stack dryness determining unit that determines that the fuel cell stack is dry when a count determined by the counting unit is a standard level or more.

摘要: A fuel cell system of the present invention can suppress an excessively wet or dry state of a fuel cell stack so as to thereby ensure the durability of the fuel cell stack. The fuel cell system supplies an oxidant gas with a reduced flow rate per unit time and for a long time period if the rate of voltage decrease of the stack becomes faster than a threshold rate, and supplies the oxidant gas with an increased flow rate per unit time and for a short time period if the rate of voltage decrease becomes slower than a threshold rate.

摘要: A fuel cell stack assembly comprises a stack of fuel cells, each fuel cell having a cooling air conduit with an input/output ventilation aperture disposed on a ventilation face of the stack. The ventilation apertures form an array over said ventilation face of the stack. A first fan is configured to direct air flow through a first portion of the ventilation face and a second fan is configured to direct air flow through a second portion of the ventilation face. A reconfigurable plenum is in fluid communication with the first fan and the second fan and has a first configuration in which air is directed, by the first and second fans, through the first and second portions of the ventilation face in the same direction, and a second configuration in which air is directed, by at least one of the fans, respectively through the first and second portions of the ventilation face in opposing directions. When operating in the second configuration, the directions of air flow through the first and second portions of the ventilation face are periodically reversed.
