    摘要: Fuse cavity structure includes fuses in which each of fusible elements for protecting a circuit from overcurrent is located between terminals, and a housing in which the fuses are mounted; a part of a wall of the housing which partitions the fuse and fuse is removed thereby to form a notch in the wall; and space is proved between the fuses. The notch is formed by notching the wall corresponding to at least a part of the fusible portion. The fuse has a head portion and jig engagement portions. A groove corresponding to the head portion and the jig engagement portions is provided within the housing. A wide-width portion is provided at the groove in correspondence to the width of the head portion of the fuse, and a narrow-width portion is provided at the groove in correspondence to the width of the jig engagement portion of the fuse which is narrower than the head portion. Another fuse having a different configuration from the fuse is provided at the housing in place of the fuse. A positioning portion for making it possible to assemble the another fuse to the housing in a normal state is provided at the groove. Such a fuse cavity structure is used for an electric connection box.

    摘要: A fuseholder and method for manufacturing thereof, the fuse holder having a cap and a molded body to receive a fuse. The fuse holder has a first contact located at one end of the body to engage one end of the fuse. A cylindrical second contact having opposed J-shaped slots is disposed near the other end of the body. Engaging the other end of the fuse is a connector having a pair of tabs receivable by the J-shaped slots to form a conductive bayonet connection between the connector and the second contact. Protrusions on the connector slidably engage the second contact to maintain conductive contact therebetween if the bayonet connection is broken. The fuse holder can be adapted by modifying the connector or by using an adaptor to accommodate shorter fuses. To manufacture the fuse holder, the first and second contacts are insert-molded into the body.

    摘要: A fuse incorporates a fusible element assembly and an auxiliary fusible element assembly in a solid arc extinguishing material configuration. The fusible element assembly has a first operating characteristic and the auxiliary fusible element has a second operating characteristic different than the first operating characteristic. An installation adapter may be used to adapt a fuse to a non-standard mounting for the fuse. The installation adapter may include first and second adapter members that secure to the fuse to provide contacts having an appropriate spatial relationship to engage the non-standard mounting.
