Abstract:
A high-voltage bushing can be plugged into a bushing socket of an electrical device of a high-voltage installation. The high-voltage bushing has an internal conductor, an insulating body which at least partly encloses the internal conductor, and a plug-in section for plugging the high-voltage bushing into the bushing socket. A heat pipe is provided in the internal conductor. The heat pipe is at least partly filled with a vaporizable cooling liquid and the heat pipe extends into the plug-in section. A high-voltage installation having the high-voltage bushing is also provided.
Abstract:
A feed-through element for harsh environments is provided that includes a support body with at least one access opening, in which at least one functional element is arranged in an electrically insulating fixing material. The electrically insulating fixing material contains a glass or a glass ceramic with a volume resistivity of greater than 1.0×1010 Ωcm at the temperature of 350° C. The glass or a glass ceramic has a defined composition range in the system SiO2—B2O3-MO.
Abstract:
A method of fabricating electrical feedthroughs coats of a plurality of electrically conductive wires with an electrically insulating material and bundles the coated wires together in a substantially parallel arrangement. The bundled coated wires are secured to each other by joining the electrically insulating material of adjacent wires together to form a monolithic block which is then cut transverse to the wires to produce a block section having opposing first and second sides with a plurality of electrically conductive feedthroughs extending between them.

Abstract:
A hermetic terminal assembly including a body member with a bottom portion and a surrounding boundary or flange portion with at least one current conducting pin sealed in an opening in the bottom portion. The hermetic terminal assembly may include an over-surface stratum or disk disposed in close fit relation in said body member in facing relation with said bottom and flange portions and/or an electrically insulating coating.
Abstract:
A cylinder is flanged onto the wall of a vacuum chamber in which a workpiece is to be coated and is to brought into contact with a current or power conductor for accomplishing same, and the current conductor in the form of a piston rod extends through this cylinder. The piston rod includes at one end a disk of graphite intended to contact the workpiece. An annular piston which is rigidly mounted on the piston rod is subjected at its outer side to the atmospheric pressure and closes a space off located within the cylinder and enclosed by a bellows, which space communicates with the vacuum chamber. A spiral pressure spring within the cylinder which rests against its bottom and against the inner side of the piston counteracts the atmospheric pressure at the outer side of the piston. In case of a subatmospheric pressure in the space, the piston is moved inwards into the cylinder against the action of the spring and the contact between the current conductor and the workpiece is established automatically. If the vacuum chamber and the space is aerated, the spring urges the piston in the opposite direction such that the current contact is interrupted automatically, thus excluding faulty operator manipulations.
Abstract:
A grommet for sealing the clearance between a panel (P) and an electric cord (W) extending therethrough, the grommet having a locking portion (B) made of a hard resin including a lower part (9) having a center hole (9a), and upper annular wall (10) extending along the peripheral edge of the lower part (9), a base plate (11) provided at the top of the annular wall (10) and having a center hole (11a), and engaging tongues (12) provided on the annular wall (10); a soft portion (A) including an annular recess (6) fitted with the base plate (11) and a tube through which the electric cord is inserted; and electric cord fastening members (17) having stoppers (18) dimensioned so as to be prevented from passing through the holes (9a, 11a) of the lower part (9) and the base plate (11), the fastening members being secured to the cord so that the stoppers are located between the lower part (9) and the base plate (11).
