摘要: In a noise controller which forms a noise cancelling sound having a phase opposite to and a sound pressure equal to those of a noise infiltrating into a closed space, any deviation in its transfer characteristics from the initial equalization is easily checked and judged owing to the provision of an adaptive filter which automatically varies the filter coefficient and forms a cancelling signal for forming a cancelling sound, a coefficient updating means which updates the filter coefficient based on an error signal after the noise has been cancelled, a simulated transfer characteristics compensation means which forms the initial equalization by simulating transfer characteristics of a transmission path via the space in which the noise is to be cancelled and forms a reproduced reference signal, a white noise generating means which generates white noise to check the initial equalization, and an initial equalization judging means which judges the accuracy of the initial equalization based on a ratio (S/N) of the reproduced reference signal obtained from white noise to the error signal. A change in the conditions for cancelling noise is detected in the closed space, and any deviation from the initial equalization is judged.

摘要: A simulation test system and method for vehicle road noise cancellation (RNC) are provided in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure. The simulation test system may include a vehicle RNC simulation system and a power amplifier. The vehicle RNC simulation system is configured to simulate an RNC system in a vehicle environment. The power amplifier is configured to execute an RNC algorithm and may perform data communication with the vehicle RNC simulation system. The vehicle RNC simulation system transmits acceleration data representing an acceleration signal and microphone data representing a microphone signal to the power amplifier as inputs to the RNC algorithm in the power amplifier. Moreover, the vehicle RNC simulation system may receive speaker data representing a speaker signal from the power amplifier. The vehicle RNC simulation system includes a secondary path simulation model and a signal flow simulation model.

摘要: With reference to FIG. 1, an active sound control system comprises a loudspeaker LS having an input qs and operable to generate sound waves for interference with unwanted sound so as to produce a region close to the user of the system in which the perceived sound is substantially reduced. A monitoring microphone ro is positioned closer to the loudspeaker LS than to the region of sound reduction. Loudspeaker control means for controlling the input qs to the loudspeaker LS operate to energise the loudspeaker such that the sound waves emitted by the loudspeaker substantially cancel the unwanted sound waves in said region. The loudspeaker control means includes a signal processing means (FIG. 3) arranged to simulate a microphone output that would be obtained if that microphone, instead of being positioned closer to the loudspeaker LS than the user, were to be positioned in a notional position ra relatively close to the user. The resulting simulated or virtual microphone output is then used to control the signal fed to the loudspeaker input qs.

The simulation system includes a memory configured to store a reference sample signal and a noise sample signal, a speaker configured to convert an electrical signal into a sound wave and output the sound wave, and a control unit configured to generate a reference signal based on the reference sample signal, generate a noise signal based on the noise sample signal, transmit the reference signal to a noise control system, output the noise signal through the speaker, and adjust at least one of a transmission time of a next reference signal or an output time of a next noise signal based on a reception time at which the noise control system receives the reference signal and a measurement time at which the noise control system measures the noise signal.

摘要: An active noise elimination apparatus for eliminating noise generated from a blower by generating from a sound generation unit a sound which offsets the noise, in a cooling system for cooling a heat source by air blown from the blower and exhausted to an exhaust port of the system through a duct, includes a first sound reception unit for receiving the noise generated from the blower; a first simulation unit for outputting a sound to the sound generation unit simulating the noise generated from the blower and transmitted to the exhaust port through the duct; a second simulation unit for receiving as input a noise simulating signal of the first simulation unit so as to simulate a detouring sound generated from the sound generation unit and transmitted to the first sound reception unit through the duct; and a subtraction unit for subtracting the detouring sound simulating signal of the second simulation unit from the noise signal received by the first sound reception unit and outputting the result to the first simulation unit.

摘要: A vehicle includes an engine and/or powertrain producing noise that is audible in a passenger compartment of the vehicle when the engine and/or powertrain is running. An active noise control arrangement includes a first loudspeaker disposed within a passenger compartment of the vehicle. A digital signal processor receives audio data and transmits an audio signal to the first loudspeaker dependent upon the audio data. A microphone is disposed within the passenger compartment and converts the sound from the first loudspeaker and the noise within the passenger compartment into a microphone signal. The microphone signal is transmitted to the digital signal processor, and the digital signal processor modifies the audio signal such that the audio signal attenuates the noise in the passenger compartment. A vehicle processor transmits a simulated noise signal to a second loudspeaker for use in testing effectiveness of the active noise control arrangement in attenuating noise when the engine and/or powertrain is not running and not producing noise.

摘要: A method for detecting failure in a noise cancellation system is provided. The noise cancellation system is operable to at least partially cancel an unwanted noise produced by a noise source. The method includes receiving a cancellation noise signal from the noise cancellation system. The cancellation noise signal represents a cancellation noise that, when combined with a target noise, is operable to at least partially cancel the target noise. The method also includes receiving an error signal approximately representing a portion of the target noise that remains after the cancellation noise and the target noise are combined. The method also includes determining whether the signal level changed or remains unchanged for each of the received cancellation noise signal and the error signal. The method also includes assigning a failure state of the noise cancellation system based on the determination and initiating a remedial measure that corresponds with the assigned failure state.
