    摘要: Provided is an electrophonic chordophone system (20) comprising sensor (24) configured to be operatively responsive to respective strings of a guitar (22). The system (20) also includes non-transitory processor-readable storage means (26) which contains first and second user-configurable tonal formats (28) and (30). Also included is processor (32), arranged in signal communication with the sensor (24) and storage means (26), and adapted to associate a melody group of notes producible by the strings with the first tonal format (28) in a one-to-one mapping or direct correlation, and to associate a control group of notes producible by the strings with the second tonal format (30) in a one-to-many mapping or indirect correlation. Also included is a synthesiser (34), arranged in signal communication with the processor (32), and configured to produce both the first and second tonal formats simultaneously in substantial real-time. The first tonal format (28) is actuatable via the melody group of notes and the second tonal format (30) is dynamically selectable via the control group of notes and also actuatable via the melody group of notes. In this manner, a melody is producible via the first tonal format (28) with a dynamic backing track producible via the second tonal format (30), all using one guitar (22).

    摘要: A user inputs, as a query pattern, a desired search-object rhythm pattern using a control, corresponding to a desired one of a plurality of performance parts constituting a performance data set (automatic accompaniment data set), in a rhythm input device. An input rhythm pattern storage section stores the input rhythm pattern (query pattern) into a RAM on the basis of a clock signal output from a bar line clock output section and input trigger data. A part identification section identifies a search-object performance part corresponding to the user-operated control. For the identified performance part, a rhythm pattern search section searches an automatic accompaniment database for an automatic accompaniment data set including a rhythm pattern that matches, i.e. has the highest similarity to, the input rhythm pattern (query pattern).

    摘要: A user interface for a virtual musical instrument presents a number of chord touch regions, each corresponding to a chord of a diatonic key. Within each chord region a number of touch zones are provided, including treble clef zones and bass clef zones. Each treble clef touch zone within a region will sound a different chord voicing. Each bass clef touch zone will sound a bass note of the chord. Other user interactions can modify or mute the chords, and vary the bass notes being played together with the chords. A set of related chords and/or a set of rhythmic patterns can be generated based on a selected instrument and a selected style of music.

The dual flywheel system (DFS) includes a first VFS and a second VFS, where the first virtual flywheel system series connected to the second virtual flywheel system such that an output of the first virtual flywheel system is coupled to an input of the second virtual flywheel system. Upon receiving a user input on the user interface, the dual flywheel system determines a virtual momentum for the first virtual flywheel based on the user input and a predetermined mass coefficient of the first virtual flywheel system, and determines a virtual momentum for the second virtual flywheel based on the virtual momentum of the first virtual flywheel system and a predetermined mass coefficient of the second virtual flywheel.

    摘要: A polyphonic, chromatic keyboard, whose notes are alternately distributed across two sub-keyboards arranged in thirds on each sub-keyboard. On each sub-keyboard, the notes are distributed across a tiling of basic triangles that is symmetrical from one sub-keyboard to the other and that peaks at one note, i.e. the major third thereof, and the minor third thereof. Thus, the quality of an interval, and consequently that of a chord or mode, does not vary with a nearby symmetry/translation. The harmonic material is represented by easily memorizable shapes. The relationships between chords are represented by geometrical movements. The keyboard can thus be a pedagogical aid for learning and understanding harmonic rules. The keyboard enables the user to play a bass line and a harmonic or melodic accompaniment simultaneously, feel the harmonic rhythm, and play with virtuosity. The keyboard can be fit onto a portable instrument, thus making it possible to play comfortably.
