Abstract:
Manufacturing signage assemblies, systems, and devices are shown and described. Recyclable signage intended for outdoor use may include a medium with a coated unactivated striped front and rear face, an adjacent liner sheet, and wherein the fluted medium and the liner are adhered with an adhesive to form the signage.
Abstract:
A method of making signs includes printing selected visual content on a surface of material. Punch holes along at least two outer edges of the material. Orient U-stake at an x-axis of the material and thread the leg portions of the stake through the holes. Fold the material over the U-stake along the x-axis of the material, the folding dividing the material into parts, a first part and a second part, and orients the first part and the second part such that a first side of the first part adjacent to a first side of the second part, after the folding, comprise no printed visual content, and a second side of the first part and a second side of the second part comprise outer surfaces and comprise the visual content. Secure the first part to the second part.
Abstract:
Basketball backboard and rim covers are described. An example basketball backboard and rim cover includes a main body that has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a front, a back, and defines a recess and an opening. The recess extends from the back toward the front. The opening is defined on the front and provides access to the recess. The second portion contacts the first portion and extends away from the front of the first portion. The second portion has a first end, a second end, and defines a chamber that extends from the opening defined by the first portion toward the second end of the second portion.
Abstract:
A vented LED display is described including an LED display panel having a plurality of LEDs disposed thereon and defining a plurality of vent slots between the plurality of LEDs, each of the plurality of vent slots having a vent height. The vented LED display also includes a unitary injection-molded vent having a plurality of louvers and coupled to the LED display panel such that each louver corresponds to at least one vent slot and includes a louver length extending downwardly to at least 75% of the vent height of the corresponding vent slot.
Abstract:
A system for the automatic deployment of traffic control signs during a power outage which enhances public safety, automatically deploys in the event of power outage, can be placed in a plurality of roadway intersections and structures, provides an alternative means to deploy safety and other information, and eliminates driver confusion when deployed. The system essentially comprises a traffic control sign that is bisected and having a top half portion and a bottom half portion connected by a hinge means, an electromagnet attached to the approximate center of the top half portion front surface, an armature plate attached to the bottom half portion front surface, an attaching means attached to the top half portion back surface for affixing the system to a structure in an environment, and at least one power cable extending from the electromagnet and connecting to a powering means in the environment. This system is believed to be useful in a variety of environments and by agencies such as municipal, state and federal departments of transportation.
Abstract:
A flag and banner system for displaying a flag and/or a banner on a flat panel of a vehicle. The system features a first mast with two linear mast channels, a first indexing base with an attachment clip that attaches to an inner edge of a pivoting panel of the vehicle, and a first pliable flag. The system also features a second mast with two linear mast channels, a second indexing base with an attachment clip that attaches to the inner edge of the pivoting panel of the vehicle at an offset from the first indexing base, and a second pliable flag. The first pliable flag is connected to the first mast and the second pliable flag is connected to the second mast via attachment tabs. A banner is attached to both the first and second mast via attachment tabs.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments disclose a corral and enclosure defined by three members having an opening configured to hold one or more shopping carts and display one or more advertisements, with two substantially parallel walls of different lengths and advertisement panels affixed on the walls, such that they are staggered. The staggered arrangement of the at least two advertisement panels facilitates better visibility and allows the simultaneous viewing of at least two advertisement panels. The longer member also further protects vehicles parked on its side from colliding with shopping carts.
Abstract:
A wind resistant module for advertisement curtain is movably mounted to a frame of an advertisement curtain to effectively cushion and counteract wind forces acting on the advertisement curtain and includes: a base, a board, a first resilient cushioning mechanism, and a second resilient cushioning mechanism. The base includes at least one group of rollers to allow the base to linearly move along the frame in a stable manner. The base is coupled, via the board, to the first resilient cushioning mechanism. The base is coupled externally with the second resilient cushioning mechanism. The first resilient cushioning mechanism provide a cushioning effect for the base against wind force in a longitudinal direction and the second resilient cushioning mechanism is coupled to the advertisement curtain to provide an cushioning effect for the advertisement curtain in a lateral direction and a frontward direction.
Abstract:
A sign assembly includes a base, a pair of spring members, and a panel. The spring members include a resilient portion that includes attachment means at a first end to enable attachment of the spring member to the base. The spring members also include a generally straight rod that extends from a second end of the resilient portion. The panel defines a pair of openings at a lower edge configured to slidably receive the rod of the spring members. The amount by which the rod slides into the panel is configured to secure the panel in an upright position.
Abstract:
A license plate mount arrangement that includes a flexible and compliant license plate mount having an adhesive backing on the back surface thereof and a plurality of couplings accessible at the front surface thereof, the arrangement allowing for the mounting of a license plate to an exterior surface of a vehicle without drilling mounting holes in, or otherwise modifying the exterior surface of the vehicle.
