    摘要: A method for detecting a time synchronization ability of the real-time measuring device based on a time variable is provided. On a premise that the real-time measuring device correctly receives time service signals, the method aims at detecting time synchronization signal application ability of the real-time measuring device, and involves a purely resistive loop comprising a value transferring device and a time controllable switch. The method, via a time synchronization performance thereof, relatively completely reflects the time synchronization signal application ability of the device within a value transfer requirement. The method is a development upon power station time synchronization time service signals and transmission accuracy detection and an improvement of power station time synchronization detection procedures. The method facilitates improving real-time analysis and monitoring abilities of a power station and a power grid to a primary device and a primary system.

The master-control unit controls operating functions of a pool or spa on command from the remote-control unit. The master-control unit also monitors operating conditions of the pool or spa and sends information about those conditions of the pool or spa and sends information about those conditions to the remote-control unit on command from the remote-control unit. A display on the remote-control unit allows a user to determine the status of various operating parameters of the pool or spa, such as water temperature. The remote-control unit also has a keypad that allows the user to input signals to be sent to the master-control unit.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for use in communication between a remote control and a receiving unit provide power saving modes of operation and enable remote control use of high data generating devices, such as a trackball. A pulse position modulation protocol is provided in which the position of a single pulse, such as an infrared pulse is located in time in one of three or more locations. In the preferred embodiment, the pulse is provided at least in one of eight states, and more preferably in one of sixteen states. In the latter arrangement, a single bit provides for a hex data output by a single pulse. In this way, a single pulse may substitute for what otherwise would have been multiple pulses in a binary protocol. Power savings may be achieved through this method. A time base compensation method is provided in which the remote control provides two detectable events separated by a predetermined time as measured by the remote control time base or clock. The receiving unit measures the time difference between the two events as determined by the receiver's time base or clock. A correction factor is then applied to subsequent detections of time differences between events as sent by the remote control. In the preferred embodiment, a multiplicative factor is applied. Dual protocol remote control devices may be provided wherein a first protocol is utilized in conjunction with a second protocol comprising the pulse position modulated system, such as the hex based system. In this manner, a binary protocol may be utilized for lower channel or lower data transfer arrangements and the pulse position modulation protocol may be utilized for relatively high data generating devices, such as a trackball. The protocol is advantageously utilized with high key identification numbers, such as those above 255.

    摘要: A single transmission line interrogated multiple channel data acquisition system is provided in which a plurality of remote station/sensors monitor specific process variables and transmit measurement values over the single transmission line to a master station when addressed by the master station. Power for all remote stations (up to 980) is provided by driving the line with constant voltage supplied from the master station and automatically maintained independent of the number of remote stations directly connected to the line. The transmission line can be an RG-62 coaxial cable with lengths up to about 10,000 feet with branches up to 500 feet. The remote stations can be attached randomly along the line. The remote stations can be scanned at rates up to 980 channels/second.
