摘要: A computer-implemented technique can receive, at a computing device, a uniform resource locator (URL) for a web page and an image. A number of pixels corresponding to a desired resolution for encoding the image is determined and the image is converted to a modified image having the desired resolution. The technique can then generate a two-dimensional barcode by: (i) generating first data representative of the modified image, (ii) appending the first data to either an end of the URL to obtain a first modified URL or after a terminator bit of the two-dimensional barcode, (iii) generating second data representative of the second modified URL or the URL, and (iv) generating third data representative of an error correction code (ECC) based on the first data and the second data, wherein the two-dimensional barcode is generated based on the first data, the second data, and the third data.

摘要: A data decoding system that includes a server-side proxy component and at least two back-end computers, where the server-side proxy component is configured, when it receives an encoding request from a client, to select a back-end computer to forward the encoding request to, based on either a pre-defined rule, load estimates for the at least two computers, estimated network throughputs across network paths to the two computers. In response to receiving this request, the back-end computer that is selected is configured to encode the request.

摘要: A method for entering identification data of a vehicle into a user database of an Internet server includes the steps of: establishing a network connection via the Internet to the server-and authenticating a user at an internet portal of the server and transmitting the identification data (VIN) via the network connection to the server, and storing the identification data (VIN) as part of user data of the user in the user database by the server. The aim is to make determination of the identification data easier for the user. For that purpose, the network connection is established by a mobile communication device, which is additionally connected to the vehicle by a transmission device for transmission of data, and the identification data (VIN) is received from the vehicle by the communication device via the data transmission device.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for enabling a portable electronic device to retrieve information about an object when the object's symbology, e.g., a barcode, is detected. According to one embodiment a method is providing in which symbology associated with an object is detected and decoded to obtain a decode string. The decode string is sent to one or more visual detection applications for processing, wherein the one or more visual detection applications reside on the portable electronic device, and receiving a first amount of information about the object from the one or more visual detection applications. The method also includes sending the decode string to a remote server for processing and receiving a second amount of information about the object from the remote server. The first amount of information is combined with the second amount of information to obtain cumulative information which is displayed on the portable electronic device.

摘要: An embodiment generally relates to systems and methods for electronically auto-filing and retrieving erasable paper document documents configured for ultraviolet (UV) imaging. A device can embed a machine readable code on an erasable paper document, or can detect a machine readable code preprinted on the document. An electronic version of the erasable paper document along with the machine readable code can be stored in a database. When the machine readable code is later detected on a rendered document, the electronic version corresponding to the machine readable code can be retrieved from storage. The erasable paper document can be re-rendered using the retrieved electronic version either as a new erasable paper document, for display to the user, or other renderings.

The decodable indicia was provided by a raw image byte stream, a compressed image byte stream, or a partial compressed image byte stream.
