    摘要: A method for defining a profile in an automatic programming system containing previously designated figure elements. Only figure elements which intersect a designated starting point are provided for selection in defining a profile element. Upon selection of a figure element, only points which intersect the figure element along the direction selected are provided for selection of the endpoint of the profile element. Once the starting point and endpoint are selected, the profile element is stored as part of the profile. The endpoint is made a new starting point and the process is repeated until the endpoint selected is the original starting point, at which time the profile has been completely defined.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for creating numerical control data by entering coordinates which specify points on a drawing placed on a tablet. A minimum reading distance is preset at the time that coordinate values of points are to be entered from the tablet. This is followed by entering the coordinate values of prescribed points on the drawing by designating the points at random using a coordinate designating device. The coordinate values of the designated point are generated each time the coordinate designating device travels a distance equivalent to the minimum reading distance, or sampling pitch, as the device is moved continuously along a graphic appearing on the drawing. Then, numerical control data is created by using the generated coordinate values. Numerical control data approximating straight line segments can be readily created, even for curves other than straight lines and circular arcs, by setting the sampling pitch interval to a suitable value.

    摘要: A device for creating stitching data for use by a sewing machine includes a tablet digitizer having a pattern entry area and menu area for which data for a stitching pattern in a forward direction is entered by a cursor. The data entry device operates in conjunction with a storage, under CPU control, to store the input stitching data in an input order. Reverse stitching data is generated automatically from the input data by an apparatus which is operative to read the forward direction stitching data in reverse order, analyze the content of the data, translate the identified data into reverse stitching data and write the reverse stitching commands into memory. The forward stitching data and automatically generated reverse stitching data are stored in a ROM for use by the sewing machine.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method of creating NC data for machining the interior of an area. The method includes displaying, on a graphic display unit (106), contours (CNT1, CNT2) inputted in order to specify the area (AR.sub.M), recognizing the area (AR.sub.M), which is designated by a graphic cursor by manipulation of a tablet (108) and painting the interior of the area in a predetermined color, subsequently removing the paint in a linear area (AR.sub.1), having a width equivalent to a width of a tool, which connects a machining starting point (P.sub.S) and a machining end point (P.sub.E) designated by the graphic cursor, adopting the machining end point as the next machining starting point, thereafter inputting machining end points in succession, and creating NC data for machining the interior of the area (AR.sub.M) by traversing a finally designated machining starting point and machining end point while moving the tool linearly.

    摘要: Stitching data according to a desired sewing pattern is successively stored as incremental data between adjacent stitches. When all of the stitching data as thus stored is transferred into a storing medium for controlling feeding of cloth in an automatic sewing machine, the incremental data is successively added to compute sewing pattern coordinates. All of the sewing pattern coordinates are used to produce an image reference position of the sewing data on a monitor display screen. The image reference position and the sewing pattern coordinates are computed to produce monitor display pattern coordinates, and a sewing pattern based on the monitor display pattern coordinates is displayed on the monitor display screen to allow confirmation of the sewing data before the latter is transferred into the storing medium.
