    摘要： Apparatus for the opto-electronic control of a flame cutting machine having photoelectric sensors of different spectral sensitivity. The sensors may be positioned within a cutting torch and directed during operation on a flame and a workpiece to be cut. The sensors are connected at their outputs with computing means to generate control signals for the advancing movement of the cutting torch relative to the workpiece. In order to reduce the impact of disturbing variables on the control signals, an electronic means for generating the quotient of the sensor output signals is connected with the outputs of at least two of said sensors. The quotient of the output magnitude of the sensors is used to control the flame cutting machine.

    摘要： A control system for a cyclically operating machine is disclosed wherein one or more operations are to be performed during each successive machine cycle. Signal generating means or a voltage generating means proportional to machine speed establish a sequence of signals or a voltage during each machine cycle, for producing a charge. An initial charge level or voltage is established, which can have a value of either a zero voltage or some other predetermined voltage at the beginning of each cycle. The voltage is changed as the signals are received or voltage is generated until a second predetermined voltage is reached, which can be either higher or lower than the initial voltage, at which time a control signal is emitted which may perform an operation associated therewith, such as by starting or stopping a machine motion. Adjusting means are provided to control the rate of change of voltage level and thereby change the point or time in the machine cycle at which the second voltage is reached, and thus vary the time within a cycle at which the operation associated therewith with occur.

    摘要： A programmer or switching apparatus produces an ON and OFF valued control signal for turning an associated controlled component ON and OFF at preselected points in the variation range of a reference variable. The apparatus includes a reference transducer for converting the reference variable into a reference signal representing the variable. A pair of set-point devices provide a pair of set-point signals which are compared with the reference signal to define operating points at which the control signal switches between its ON and OFF values. The apparatus has the versatility of allowing, by merely setting the set-point devices and without making any circuit changes, the first transition of the control signal to be either from ON to OFF or from OFF to ON as the reference variable increases from its minimum to its maximum value. A number of basic units or parts of basic units may be combined to provide a number of control channels controlling the operation of a number of controlled components in response to the same reference variable. The reference variable may be the angular displacement of a rotatable shaft which may rotate continuously in one direction through repeated revolutions or which may oscillate back and forth between given end points. It may also be the linear displacement of a linearly movable element, or it may be some other continuously variable quantity such as elapsed time, temperature, pressure, liquid level, etc.

    摘要： A signal generator for producing a control signal to control specific operations based upon the angular position of a rotating part in devices such as molding presses. An electrical signal related to the position of the rotating part is generated by using a potentiometer. The signal from the potentiometer is compared in a logic circuit to other adjustable electrical signals. Based upon the results of the comparison a control circuit provides the control signal. Furthermore, monitoring circuits are provided to detect any improper deviation in the electrical signals and upon detecting a deviation in an electrical signal the monitoring circuit provides an error output signal. An interrupter circuit is responsive to each monitoring device and disables the motion of the rotating part upon receipt of any error signal.
