    摘要: An input/output (I/O) device for an automation control system includes a device housing containing control circuitry, the device housing being mountable to a support, a control power input for receiving control power from a first adjacent I/O device when connected thereto, the control power input configured to supply control power to the control circuitry, a control power output for outputting control power to a second associated adjacent I/O device, a field power input for receiving field power from the first associated adjacent I/O device when connected thereto, and a field power output for transmitting field power to the second associated I/O device. The field power input is selectively removable to prevent field power from being received by the I/O device from the first associated adjacent I/O device when connected thereto.

The module includes a communication board that includes a processing unit which is connected via an input/output bus slave and an external input/output bus connected to a central processing unit, and one or more secure processing units arranged on one or more circuit boards having safety oriented input/output circuits for safety oriented functions. A serial communication master is connected via communication links to at least one of the circuit boards so that the at least one circuit board receives messages sent by the communication board, transmits safety oriented messages from and/or to the processing unit of the communication board via one of the secure processing units.

    摘要: A programmable controller has a rack that houses and electrically connects a number of I/O modules and a processor module. The processor module includes a external communication network interface, a system memory, a processor section which executes a user-defined control program and a I/O interface that handles the exchange of data with the other modules. The I/O interface has circuitry for pre-processing data from defined input modules, thereby relieving the processing section of certain tasks. The shared memory contains information defining the input module from which to obtain data for pre-processing and the bits of that data to be examined for specified logic level transitions. The stored information also designates the frequency at which the data is to be read from the defined input module and how many occurrences of the specified logic level transitions must take place before the I/O interface signals the processor section that the pre-processing is complete.

    摘要: A mechanism to be sequentially controlled is divided into a plurality of functional blocks. Each functional block is assigned to a control block for sequentially controlling the functional block. The mechanism is sequentially and dispersedly controlled by a plurality of control blocks. Synchronization between control blocks is realized by referring to an input/output signal or an internal signal belonging to each control block. Each control block is set with an activation condition for turning on or off its own function so that the whole mechanism can be integrally controlled with an arbitrary condition. The sequence program for each control block is made by using an optimum one from among a conditional type definition, a sequential type definition and a combination of both definitions, in accordance with the control type of the program.
