    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a magnetic toner, an image bearing member, and a development device. The image bearing member is an amorphous silicon photosensitive drum. The magnetic toner includes toner particles. The toner particles each include a toner mother particle containing a binder resin and a magnetic powder and alumina particles attached to a surface of the toner mother particle. The alumina particles each include a core containing alumina and a conductive layer covering the core. The conductive layer contains antimony tin oxide. The alumina particles have a number average primary particle diameter of at least 0.15 μm and no greater than 0.50 μm. The alumina particles have a specific resistance of no greater than 250 Ω·cm. The alumina particles have an X-ray intensity ratio of at least 0.25 and no greater than 0.35.

    摘要: Provided is a magnetic toner, including a toner particle containing a binder resin and a magnetic iron oxide particle, in which: the binder resin includes a resin having a polyester unit in which at least one kind of aliphatic compound selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having 30 to 102 carbon atoms and an aliphatic monoalcohol having 30 to 102 carbon atoms is condensed at an end of the polyester unit; a content of the magnetic iron oxide particle is from 30 to 80 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin; and the magnetic iron oxide particle satisfies the following conditions: (i) a number-based median diameter D50 is from 0.05 to 0.15 μm; (ii) a number-based ratio D10/D50 is from 0.40 to 1.00; and (iii) a number-based ratio D90/D50 is from 1.00 to 1.50.

    摘要: The present invention relates to black magnetic iron oxide particles comprising magnetite as a main component, wherein when the black magnetic iron oxide particles are molded into a tablet shape, an electric resistance value of the tablet in an alternating current electric field is controlled to produce an impedance of not less than 2×106 Ωcm as measured in a characteristic frequency range thereof. The black magnetic iron oxide particles according to the present invention can provide a toner capable of exhibiting a good charging performance and a uniform charging property under the high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, so that when developing an electrostatic latent image therewith, it is possible to obtain toner images having a high resolution or definition, and further the use of heavy metal elements in the black magnetic iron oxide particles can be minimized.

    摘要: A toner which can efficiently induce high-frequency magnetic induction heating by Neel relaxation and/or Brown relaxation is provided. A toner including a core particle containing a thermoplastic polymer material and superparamagnetic ferrite fine particles having a particle diameter of less than 100 nm which adhere to the surfaces of the core particle is manufactured by directly forming the superparamagnetic ferrite fine particles having a particle diameter of less than 100 nm on the surfaces of the core particle so that the superparamagnetic ferrite fine particles having a particle diameter of less than 100 nm are not in contact with each other. As a result, the toner is prevented from being scattered due to the influence of a magnetic field, so that a high quality image is formed.

    摘要: To provide a magnetic toner which: enables a stable image density to be obtained irrespective of a use environment; and exhibits excellent low-temperature fixability, little image deterioration upon fixation, high coloring power, and a reduced toner consumption. The present invention relates to a magnetic toner containing at least: a binder resin; and a magnetic body. The binder resin contains a polyester unit. The toner has a weight average particle size of 5.0 to 9.0 μm, a true specific gravity of 1.3 to 1.7 g/cm3, and a saturated magnetization of 20 to 35 Am2/kg in a magnetic field of 796 kA/m. The dielectric loss tangent (tan δ) of the toner satisfies (tan δH−tan δL)/tan δL≦0.20 at 100 kHz.
