Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form an image on paper, an operation unit, and a controller to receive an execution signal and control the image forming unit. The operation unit includes a touch panel display to receive a touch operation by a user, and to display an execution icon to be touched by the user to enable the operation unit to transmit the execution signal to the image forming apparatus. The operation unit further includes a cable connected to the operation unit to transmit the execution signal to the controller, an exterior cover configured to form an exterior, and an insertion member disposed on a side opposite to a side where the touch panel display is disposed on an outside of the exterior cover to pass fingertips of the user through when the user operates the operation unit while holding up the operation unit.

Abstract: A housing structure includes an upper housing at an upper side of a device housing, a lower housing at a lower side of the device housing, and a positioner that positions the upper housing on the lower housing. One side surface of the device housing has an opening extending astride the lower housing and the upper housing when the upper housing is positioned on the lower housing. The positioner includes a reference positioning element that is provided toward any one of four corners of a connection area between the lower housing and the upper housing and that has a reference hole provided in one of or each of the lower housing and the upper housing and a positioning reference pin fitted in the reference hole, an anti-rotation element that is provided toward another corner of the four corners excluding the corner near where the reference positioning element is provided and that has an anti-rotation pin provided at one of the lower housing and the upper housing and an anti-rotation hole that is provided in the other one of the lower housing and the upper housing, receives the anti-rotation pin, and suppresses rotation of the upper housing relative to the lower housing about the reference positioning element, and position regulation elements that are respectively provided toward corners, of the four corners, located at opposite sides of the opening such that the one side surface having the opening is interposed between the corners. The position regulation elements individually have position regulation pins provided at one of the lower housing and the upper housing and position regulation holes that are provided in the other one of the lower housing and the upper housing, receive the position regulation pins, and positionally regulate the corners located at the opposite sides of the opening.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus, including a casing, a toner cartridge, and a process cartridge, is provided. The toner cartridge detachably attached to the casing stores toner therein. Abstract: An image forming apparatus of the present disclosure includes a developing device and a toner storage container. The toner storage container is detachable and attachable with respect to an apparatus main body. The toner storage container includes a supply screw which conveys toner by rotating forward, and a first engagement unit coupled via a gear train to a rotation shaft of the supply screw. The apparatus main body includes a second engagement unit which engages with the first engagement unit to restrain detachment/attachment of the toner storage container by engaging with the first engagement unit. In a case where an amount of toner in the toner storage unit has become equal to or less than a predetermined amount, a control unit makes the supply screw rotate backward to thereby release engagement between the first and second engagement units.
