摘要: Improvements in a less-lethal force device are disclosed. The less-lethal projectile device generally comprising a projectile that is mated to a docking base by way of a spherical shaped projectile ball in a retaining spherical sockets or base. The projectile ball may include a locating/orienting that locates the projectile ball in the docking base. The retaining socket has one or more wings that partially wrap around the projectile ball. The material, thickness and splits in the socket adjust the retention force placed on the projectile ball. The projectile captures a fired bullet and is propelled along the original path of the bullet at a less lethal velocity. The disclosed system results in converting a normally lethal weapon into a less-lethal blunt impact system.

摘要: Improvements in a less-lethal force device are disclosed. The less-lethal projectile device generally comprising a projectile, such as a rubber-encapsulated metal block, that is mated to a docking base by way of a mounting pins or base. The projectile may be made with a cavity located in its rearward section for enabling the projectile to fit onto the mounting pins portion of the docking base through compression or interference fit. The projectile captures a fired bullet and is propelled along the original path of the bullet at a less lethal velocity. The disclosed system results in converting a normally lethal weapon into a less-lethal blunt impact system. The mounting pins are configured to provide clearance to the sighting mechanism on the firearm.

摘要: A smoke signal device adaptable for attaching to a pistol and being launched by firing the pistol. An adapter is provided which slip-fits onto a pistol barrel and a base having a percussion primer therein is removably attached to the adapter. A case having a quantity of smoke-producing composition therein is attached to the forward end of the base and an ignition train is provided to ignite the smoke-producing composition upon detonation of the percussion primer. The case is separated from the base upon ignition and a trailing smoke signal is emitted from the case during flight.

The active grenade material may include a smoke generation component and an ignition component. There may be a bullet suppressing material positioned between the rifle muzzle and the inert material. The bullet suppressing material and the inert material may be made of different materials.

摘要: A duplex weapon system that is capable of firing a high-mass/low-velocity (“HMLV”) projectile followed by a conventional projectile such as a bullet. A barrel adapter is aligned with the bore of the barrel of a conventional firearm. The barrel adapter includes an adapter bore running completely through its length, with the adapter bore terminating in an exit in the forward portion of the barrel adapter. The HMLV projectile is slidably attached to the exterior of the barrel adapter. The HMLV projectile includes a launch tube that covers the exit of the barrel adapter. When a first cartridge is fired b the firearm, expanding propellant gas rushes down the adapter bore and out the exit The expanding gas forces the launch tube and the attached HMLV projectile away from the barrel adapter. The HMLV projectile then flies toward a target.

摘要: A breaching device for controlled blasting of an object at short range includes a blasting element including an explosive charge contained within a housing, the blasting element being configured to blast the object from a preset distance. Connected to, and extending from, the housing is a stand-off rod having a length equal to the preset distance. A pyrotechnic lead pellet is associated with the blasting element and with the stand-off rod so as to detonate the explosive charge upon impact of the stand-off rod with the object. A tail is provided for stabilizing the device during its flight to the object. The tail is connected to the blasting element through a “safe and arm” device and a safety connector configured to reduce shock forces acting on the tail resulting from detonation of the explosive charge.
