Abstract:
An ammunition carrier assembly includes a first plate having a first portion and a second portion, where the first plate is folded so that the second portion faces the first portion and the second portion extends from a fold along part of the first portion. A second plate is configured to be fixedly attached to the first plate. The second plate has a planar portion and a hub that extends away from a face of the planar portion. The hub defines openings in opposite sides of the hub. The first plate is sized and configured to be installed on a panel of an ammunition container such that the panel and part of the second plate is between the first and second portions of the first plate. The assembly can be part of a system that includes a magazine well attached to a machine gun.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide modifications to the AR platform operating system such that the platform now is competent to fire large caliber cartridges, including belted cartridges, providing longer range and greater barrier penetration without substantially altering the characteristic features and component inter-relationships of this platform.
Abstract:
An ammunition magazine contains an ammunition belt of linked ammunition cartridges to be fed into a machine gun, the magazine including a front opening, enabling a leading end of the ammunition belt to be accessible for feeding the machine gun and for linking with a trailing end of another ammunition belt, and a rear opening, enabling a trailing end of the ammunition belt to be accessible for linking with a leading end of another ammunition belt. An arrangement of consecutive and adjacent ammunition magazines allows movement of an ammunition belt from the distal magazine into the proximal magazine towards the machine gun during operation, enabling continuous feeding of ammunition belts into the machine gun. An ammunition loading system for conveying ammunition between a magazine platform and a hull region, including a lifting mechanism to lift an ammunition magazine into the magazine platform from the hull region.
Abstract:
A linking system for rimmed ammunition is disclosed. The linking system features individual links that each encompass one ammunition cartridge while having an arcuate lateral arm which encompasses a neighboring link and associated cartridge. A plurality of collet arms secure the cartridge and separate as the cartridge is forced forward in the delinking process. Angular momenta from the feeding motion and the rotational motion of the de-linking assembly combine to rotate a first link away and apart from the next associated link.
Abstract:
An ammunition feed adapter and method of use is provided that converts a semi-automatic or fully automatic firearm from a magazine-fed firearm into a belt-fed firearm enabling the firearm to be used as a sustainable source of firepower. Modification of a soldier's standard issue automatic or semi-automatic rifle into a belt-fed firearm increases the options for strategic maneuvering of a combat unit on the field of battle by overcoming the limitations of traditional sources of sustained firepower, such as a Squad Automatic Firearm.
Abstract:
An automatic weapon for use within a turret including means to seal substantially all of the gases generated during use within the weapon to prevent escape into the turret. The gun includes means to feed the cartridges in an orientation perpendicular to the gun barrel thus allowing use of a simple compact feed system, external of the gun, in which changes in gun elevation do not twist the ammunition feed belt and a means for ejecting the spent cartridges forwardly through the armour at the same location through which the barrel protrudes.
Abstract:
An arrow shooting device with an arrow chain driving structure is disclosed. The arrow shooting device includes a gun body having a gun chamber and a chain hole, an arrow chain is inserted into a side of the chain hole and exposed out of the other side of the chain hole, the chain driving assembly is disposed in the gun chamber and controlled by the driving assembly to move, the moving chain driving assembly drives the arrow chain to move between two end openings of the chain hole, the chain driving assembly includes a first slider and a second slider. The second slider has a driving block to engage the arrow chain, the driving assembly is operated to repeatedly drive the first slider and the second slider to control the driving block to push the arrow chain to move through the chain hole.
