The sintering apparatus includes a case having an internal space formed therein and including a door provided in a front portion thereof to open and close the internal space, a magnetron coupled to the case and oscillating microwaves toward the internal space, a heat insulating unit disposed in the internal space to form a chamber space and blocking transmission of heat of the chamber space to the internal space, a susceptor unit disposed in the chamber space and having a sintering space in which a to-be-sintered material is accommodated, and a cooling unit cooling at least one of the case or the chamber space.
Abstract:
Immunogenic compositions comprising hemagglutinin (HA) variants and/or neuraminidase (NA) variants, which may be contained in an influenza A virus, and uses thereof for eliciting immune responses against influenza A virus.
Abstract:
All of a cast-iron or cast-copper stave cooler's weight is supported inside a furnace containment shell by single gas-tight steel collar on the backside. All the coolant piping in each cooler has every external connection collected and routed together through the one steel collar. A wear protection barrier is disposed on the hot face. Such is limited to include at least one of horizontal rows of ribs and channels that retain metal inserts or refractory bricks, or pockets that assist in the retention of castable cement and/or accretions frozen in place from a melt, or an application of an area of hardfacing that is welded on in bead, crosshatch, or weave pattern.
Abstract:
A high temperature dry block temperature calibrator relates to the technical field of temperature calibration. The high temperature dry block temperature calibrator includes a high temperature furnace, a control board module, a system board module, a measuring board module, a lower support, and a housing. The high temperature furnace and the control board module are mounted on the lower support. The system board module and the measuring board module are mounted on the front side surface of the housing. The housing is clipped to the periphery of the lower support and the high temperature furnace and the control board module are accommodated in the housing. The modules are independent of each other and can be removed separately, thereby facilitating maintenance and replacement. The high temperature dry block temperature calibrator can be used for calibrating the temperature of a high temperature element to be measured.
Abstract:
A gas injection system for a blast furnace or shaft furnace or metallurgical furnace comprising a furnace wall and a cooling plate wherein the gas injection system comprises a gas distribution pipe, one or more injectors having a nozzle, wherein the nozzle comprises a ceramic insert, wherein the cooling element has a hot side, turned away from the furnace wall, wherein a protrusion is attached to the hot side of said cooling plate, wherein the ceramic insert traverses the furnace wall and the cooling plate and the protrusion on cooling plate and wherein the ceramic inserts have an adaptable length so that they either protrude inside the furnace, or that they are flush with a hot face of the cooling plate or stay slightly in retreat with a hot face of the cooling plate.
Abstract:
An apparatus is disclosed for a spray-cooled roof of a tilting metallurgical furnace having a drain pump. The spray-cooled roof has a hollow metal roof section. The hollow metal roof section has an outer metal covering member, an inner metal base member spaced from and opposite the outer metal covering member, an enclosed space disposed between the outer metal covering member and the inner metal base member, and a spray-cooled system disposed in the enclosed space. An evacuation drain is fluidly coupled to the enclosed space and a pump is integrated into the spray-cooled roof and coupled to the evacuation drain.
Abstract:
Block apparatus for use with oxidizers are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a converter including a block having a plurality of channels extending therethrough. The channels define a cellular pattern including at least one central channel and a plurality of surrounding channels. Protrusions extend into the channels from respective inner surfaces of the channels. The inner surfaces are defined by respective peripheral walls.
Abstract:
A modular furnace cooling wall, comprising: a plurality of segments wherein each interior segment houses or defines a cooling fluid conduit having an inlet and an outlet; wherein a first side of each segment defines a concave groove or channel; wherein a second side of each segment defines a convex edge; and wherein the plurality of segments are assembled so that the convex edge of one or more of the segments is received within the concave groove of an adjacent segment.
Abstract:
A slag notch for a metallurgical vessel includes a steel member defines a passageway for molten slag and a system for cooling the steel member.
Abstract:
A panel cooled with a fluid, for metallurgic furnaces, includes a first chamber having a face which, in assembly conditions, is configured to face an interior of a metallurgic furnace and an opposite face in thermal contact with a face of a second chamber whose opposed face is configured to face, in assembly conditions, an external part of the metallurgic furnace. The first and second chambers are mutually independent. The first and second chambers each include an inlet and outlet of a cooling fluid. The panel has a first working configuration in which the first chamber is passed by a first cooling fluid and the second chamber is passed by a second cooling fluid different from the first cooling fluid, and a second working configuration in which the first chamber is passed by the second cooling fluid and the second chamber is passed by the first cooling fluid.
