    摘要: A refrigerator according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a cabinet forming a storage space; a grill pan assembly provided in the storage space and shielding the evaporator from the front; a machine room forming a space independent of the storage space and having a compressor and a condenser; and an air suction member for communicating the heat exchange space in which the evaporator is disposed and the machine room; in which the grill fan assembly includes a case with the open front; a fan provided in the case and configured to force an air flow between the storage space and the heat exchange space; a grill fan shielding the open front of the case and having a discharge port for discharging cold air to the storage space and a suction port for suctioning air from the storage space; a partition dividing the inside of the case into a cold air flow space and a heated air flow space; an exhaust member extending from the case to the inside of the machine room and communicating the inside of the case with the inside of the machine room; and a machine room exhaust damper provided in the case and configured to open and close the exhaust member.

    摘要: A preferred embodiment utilizes the waste heat from a refrigerant cycle to aid in the removal of condensate from a refrigerated case used primarily by grocery stores. Certain embodiments use a heating element to boil off condensate or a pump to remove the condensate. Another embodiment utilizes a wicking element and a shroud that directs hot air from the condenser through the wick thereby increasing the condensate evaporation rate. Yet another embodiment utilizes the hot gas tube from the refrigeration system routed through the bottom of the condensate tray to pre-heat the condensate to accelerate evaporation. Alternative embodiments combine certain features to create even more efficient system such as a heating element used with the wick system or the hot gas system used with the wick system. In some embodiments, a mold and mildew inhibitor is added to the condensate to maintain cleanliness.

    摘要: The device may be of the type having a horizontally open display section along the major portion of at least one side thereof which is maintained cool by a cool air flow stream passing downwardly through the display section, rearwardly of the section, and then upwardly and forwardly back to its point of origination to begin another cooling cycle. The air flow stream is maintained cool by a refrigeration system preferably having an upper condenser assembly and a lower evaporator assembly with an improved condensate dissipator assembly just beneath and in flow communication with the condenser assembly. This dissipator assembly may include a multiplicity of pans mounted spaced apart one beneath the other arranged for the condenser assembly warm air to pass therethrough above and beneath the pans with condensate from the evaporator assembly coil being directed into at least the uppermost of the pans. The majority of pan edges in the general direction of air flow are angled from vertical and preferably include weep holes therein with condensate flow from the upper to the lower thereof flowing over and through the edge weep holes and along undersurfaces thereof, at least the lower pans increasing progressively in horizontal dimensions. A portion of the condenser assembly high temperature coil may be associated with the lowermost pan for transferring heat to the lowermost pan.

    摘要: A refrigerator has a machinery compartment at the bottom for housing a motor-compressor unit and a condenser and has an air inlet opening at the front thereof extending substantially across the width of the compartment. The machinery compartment includes a forward section for receiving the condenser and a duct at the rear portion thereof for receiving the motor-compressor unit. The duct has an air inlet at one end for receiving air from the forward section. The condenser extends generally horizontally from one side wall of the compartment across a substantial portion of the forward section. A drain pan is supported above the condenser for collecting water draining from the interior of the refrigerator. The drain pan additionally functions as a baffle to cause air entering the forward section to flow effectively over the condenser. A fan is positioned at the inlet of the duct and the motor-compressor unit is so positioned in the duct that the compressor portion thereof is positioned adjacent to the fan so that substantially all of the air discharged from the fan is directed onto the compressor portion, thereby maximizing the heat transferred from the compressor to the air flowing through the compartment.

Control means maintain the air in the refrigerator compartment above 32* F. and the air in the freezer compartment below 32* F., and duct means, including a Venturi nozzle, are provided for combining the air flows in the freezer compartment such that moisture in the return air from the compartments is frozen into crystallized water while airborne by refrigerated air diverted from the evaporator chamber outlet. The crystallized water is separated therefrom while airborne prior to the combined air flows returning to the evaporator. Collecting means are provided for melting and evaporating the water outside of the freezer compartment.
