Abstract:
A lighting device for an automotive vehicle includes a printed circuit board having one or more electronic components, and a support joined, or capable of being joined, to the printed circuit board. The lighting device included a first joining device for joining the printed circuit board to the support, the first device permitting the printed circuit board to rotate, with respect to the support, about an axis and perpendicularly to the axis. Also included is second joining device for joining the printed circuit board to the support, located at a distance from the first joining device and capable of blocking the rotations of the printed circuit board with respect to the support, in an assembled configuration of the printed circuit board and the support.
Abstract:
Module for emitting at least one light beam along an optical axis for automobile vehicles. The module includes at least a first and at least a second light sources, at least a first and at least a second optical collectors designed to collect the light emitted by the at least a first and the at least a second light sources, respectively, and for redirecting the light collected in convergent directions. At least one of the at least a first and the at least a second light sources is oriented in such a manner as to emit light in an overall direction of emission moving away from the optical axis. The collector associated with the or with said oriented light sources have at least partially an asymmetrical configuration elongating the collector along the optical axis.
Abstract:
A reliable semiconductor light-emitting apparatus including an optical fiber and a wavelength converting layer and a headlight using the semiconductor light-emitting apparatus can include a ferrule holder attaching the wavelength converting layer. The ferrule holder can also attach a first ferrule covering the optical fiber, which transmits light emitted from a semiconductor light-emitting chip toward the wavelength converting layer. When the light-emitting apparatus is used for the headlight, the apparatus can be easily incorporated into a prescribed position of the headlight with confidence via a lamp holder. Thus, the disclosed subject matter can provide reliable semiconductor light-emitting apparatuses having a high radiating efficiency that can emit various color lights including a substantially white color tone having favorable optical characteristics, which can be used for general lighting, a street light, stage lighting and the like, and which can be used for the headlight that can provide a favorable light distribution pattern.
Abstract:
A fixation member, made of a single piece of elastic material, used for mounting an object to a frame, and in particular for mounting an automotive lamp in a reflector housing, includes a first portion and a second portion interconnected by first spring means. The first portion comprise first catch means for engaging with a frame to which the fixation member is to be fixed after the first portion is pushed towards the second portion, while the first spring means pushes the second portion against the frame. The first portion furthermore comprises second catch means for engaging with corresponding catch means of the second portion when the first portion is pushed further towards said second portion against an increasing force of the first spring means, whereby the catch means retracts and thereby disengages from the frame. The second portion is provided with second spring means for abutting against the frame thereby pushing the second portion in a direction away from the frame.
Abstract:
An electric lamp includes a light-transmitting lamp vessel which is closed in a gastight manner. An electric element is arranged in the lamp vessel and is connected to current conductors which issue from the lamp vessel to the exterior. A lamp cap is connected to the lamp vessel. The lamp cap has a housing which includes a coupler formed as an integral whole with the housing. The coupler and the housing share an integral, resilient intermediate portion.

549,226. Electric lamps. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. March 26, 1942, No. 4003. Convention date, March 28, 1941. [Classes 39 (ii) and 75 (iv] In an automobile or other light projecting lamp comprising an air-tight enclosure having an electric lamp bulb sealed within it, penetration of air into the enclosure through the bonding cement 35 securing the bulb 25 to the lamp base shell 24 is prevented by providing an additional seal 36 of non-porous material. The bonding cement 35 may consist of an inorganic filler such as powder of marble, alumina, or magnesia mixed with a binding agent such as shellac, rosin and synthetic resins. The sealing material 36 may be a vinyl resin of the thermoplastic type with or without a suitable filler or a thermo-setting material such as urea formaldehyde, phenol formaldehyde, phenol furfural or a mixture of such gums, an alkyl resin being preferably added to prevent brittleness. The lamp shown consists of metal reflector 11 and a glass or other lens 12 secured together with an interposed rubber gasket 15 by pressing the flange 16 of the reflector over the rim 14 of the lens. The reflector is formed with a central opening 19 in which the shell 24 is secured by solder 23. The lamp bulb 22 may be similar to that described in Specification 545,103. The sealing material 36 may be enclosed between the lamp bulb and the shell, the outer edge of which may be flared.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a fastener for a lamp, which is engaged with a pocket part provided in a bracket when being inserted into the pocket part in a first direction, including a first fastening part engaged with the pocket part such that the fastener is prevented from being moved with respect to the bracket in a second direction that is an opposite direction to the first direction when the fastener is inserted into the pocket part, and a second fastening part engaged with the pocket part such that the fastener is prevented from being moved with respect to the bracket in the first direction when the fastener is inserted into the pocket part.
Abstract:
A lighting apparatus for a motor vehicle, wherein a first structural component of the lighting apparatus is connected to a second structural component of the lighting apparatus, and the connection between the first and second structural components is formed by a twist-on connection. The second structural component comprises at least two coupling elements that fit over, in particular at the perimeter of, the first structural component in the fully assembled state, at least in part, and the first structural component ends up in this engaged position, in particular on the perimeter thereof, through a rotation in relation to the second structural component.
Abstract:
Wedge-base bulb socket comprising: a supporting base provided with a coupling seat dimensioned to house the plug of the light bulb; two coupling and connecting members which are located inside the coupling seat, and are structured to separately hold the wedge-shaped plug of the light bulb fitted into the coupling seat, and to feed electric current to said light bulb; two electrically conductive elements which extend on the surface of the supporting base up to the edge of the entrance of the coupling seat, on opposite sides of said entrance, and then descend into the coupling seat up to reach each a respective coupling and connecting member; and two respectively-facing additional supporting jaws which are supported by the two electrically conductive elements so as to be located substantially on opposite sides of the entrance of the coupling seat, and structured to clamp the wedge-base light bulb fitted into the socket, so as to firmly hold said wedge-base light bulb in the wedge-base bulb socket.
