    摘要: An underwater storage installation for a cryogenic liquid. A foundation base rests directly on the sea floor. An underwater cell for storing the cryogenics liquid and cryogenic liquid-supply and -discharge conduits. The storage cell comprises a sealed outer chamber and a vapor barrier disposed inside the outer chamber and which defines a watertight space. A separation space is disposed between the outer chamber and the vapor barrier. Spacers are disposed in the space to keep the chamber and the vapor barrier at a distance from one another. The installation can be used for the storage of liquefied natural gas.

    摘要: A corrosion protection device (nullCPDnull) for inhibiting corrosion of an air compressor collection tank, and relieving the pressure in the tank when excessive condensate accumulates within the tank. A relief passage extends through the plug, and an anode seals the relief passage near the interior volume of the tank. The tank, plug and anode are all coupled in an electrically conductive relationship, and a galvanic circuit is formed when condensate collects near the bottom of the tank. The anode has a lower redox potential than steel, and is preferably made from magnesium. The anode loses electrons with less resistance than the steel tank, so the anode will be consumed through the oxidation process before the steel tank corrodes. Once the anode is consumed so that it no longer seals the relief passage, the condensate and air are discharged from the tank through the relief passage.

In one embodiment, a corrosion sensor for a storage tank comprises one or more sensors located on a non-process side of the storage tank and one or more corrosion responsive members located internal to the one or more sensors. The one or more sensors are configured to monitor a change in one or more physical properties of the one or more corrosion responsive members. Data from the corrosion sensor may be monitored locally or transmitted over a network and monitored remotely.
