Abstract:
An isolation valve assembly is provided that includes a valve body having an inlet and an outlet, a sealing body disposed within an interior cavity of the valve body, and an actuatable closure element disposed within the valve body. The sealing body comprises a channel extending between a first opening on a surface of the sealing body and a second opening on an opposite surface of the sealing body. The sealing body is rotatable between a first position permitting gas flow from the inlet to the outlet of the valve body via the channel, and a second position preventing gas flow from the inlet to the outlet of the valve body. The actuatable closure element is configured to retain the sealing body stationary in the first position or the second position.
Abstract:
An electronic cigarette and an atomizer device thereof are provided. The atomizer device includes a housing, a liquid reservoir chamber (115) formed in the housing, and an adjusting valve (13) engaging with the housing; a liquid injection channel (1131) is defined in the housing for injecting liquid solution into the liquid reservoir chamber (115); a first opening (1311) corresponding to the liquid injection channel (1131) is defined in the adjusting valve (13); the adjusting valve (13) is movable between a first position and a second position across a surface of the housing; when the adjusting valve is in the first position, the first opening (1311) communicates with the liquid injection channel (1131) to open the liquid injection channel (1131), and when the adjusting valve (13) is in the second position, the first opening (1311) misaligns with the liquid injection channel (1131) to close the liquid injection channel (1131).
Abstract:
A valve including two component parts, with a first part being rotationally mounted to the second part, wherein a through passage is provided in each part and the passages are in fluid communication when the parts are rotated into an open position, to allow flow 5 through the valve, wherein each part has a threaded socket and a threaded male connector, and wherein the passage extends axially, through the male connector and opens into the socket.
Abstract:
A method of installing a toilet system on board an aircraft is generally described. The toilet system includes a base support having a right base support and a left base support, a toilet bowl, a right side support and a left side support each supporting the toilet bowl. The method comprises lowering the toilet bowl on to the base supports to at least partially engage a first locking mechanism; sliding the toilet bowl in a forward direction to engage a second locking mechanism; and inserting a first pin to couple the right base support to the right side support and a second pin to couple the left base support to the left side support in order to completely engage the first locking mechanism.
Abstract:
A toilet bowl system for use on-board an aircraft includes a toilet bowl body comprising a toilet bowl and a shroud. The toilet bowl has a rim. A removable splash guard is positioned between the toilet bowl and the shroud, and comprises a generally flat, flexible, planar shield having a central opening. The shield includes a top portion and a rear portion, the top portion faces the shroud and the lower portion faces the toilet bowl, and the lower portion is shaped to correspond with an upper portion of the rim of the toilet bowl and is configured to secure the removable toilet splash guard to the toilet bowl.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention provide a choke valve that includes a valve body, a stationary disc, a rotating disc, an actuator system, and a wear monitoring system. The valve body defines an inlet and an outlet. The stationary disc includes a bean and defines a passageway arranged between the inlet and outlet of the valve body. The rotating disc is arranged adjacent the stationary disc and is movable between an open position and a closed position. The actuator system is coupled to the rotating disc and is arranged to actuate the rotating disc between the open position and the closed position. The wear monitoring system includes a port in communication with a depressurized cavity formed between the valve body and the bean, and a pressure sensor that monitors a pressure in the depressurized cavity.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to a faucet valve cartridge 10 configured for use within a dual handle faucet 16, 18. The valve cartridge 10 includes first and second fluid flow control members 94 and 96 received within a valve housing 74 and configured to control fluid flow from an inlet 32, 36 to an outlet 29.
Abstract:
Described herein is a fluid valve assembly includes a body that defines a fluid cavity. The body includes an inlet through which fluid enters the fluid cavity and an outlet from which fluid exits the fluid cavity. The fluid valve assembly includes at least one arm rotatably coupled to the body and positioned within the fluid cavity. Additionally, the fluid valve assembly includes a flap coupled to the at least one arm. The flap includes a domed portion and a flat portion extending radially outwardly away from the domed portion.
Abstract:
The invention is a dual spreading link mechanism for application with gate valves. The invention also extends to gate valves employing the inventive dual spreading link. In one application to pendulum gate valves, a valve carriage assembly moves in a pendular manner within a gate valve housing and operates to seal off the flow channel of the housing. The valve carriage assembly is comprised of a valve plate having a valve seat face for engaging with the housing in a sealing manner, a tensioning member which along with a plurality of clip springs provides a contracting force to the valve carriage assembly, and an actuating member which moves laterally within the carriage assembly to alternately spread and contract the assembly. The actuating member is stacked between the valve plate and tensioning member and the actuating member is coupled to the valve plate and tensioning member by a plurality of oblong rotatable links which comprise the dual spreading link.
Abstract:
An apparatus for a gate valve between chambers includes a valve housing defining a flow path. A male valve portion is rotatable on a fixed axis in the housing. The male valve portion including a first male mating surface positioned at a first angle less than perpendicular to the axis. A female valve portion is fixed in the valve housing for receiving the male portion. The female valve portion including a first female mating surface positioned at a second angle matching the first angle. An o-ring seals the male valve portion to the female valve portion when the male valve portion is rotated into the female valve portion. A polished surface contacts the o-ring when the male valve portion is rotated. When the male valve portion is rotated into the female valve portion the o-ring is compressed thereby sealing the gate valve and closing the flow path.
