    摘要: A ring disk reciprocating power conversion device includes a planetary gear set and at least one eccentric control panel set. The eccentric control panel set includes a rotary disk pivoted on the opposite end of the planetary gear set, which can be guided by the rotation of the plurality of planet wheels of the planetary gear set, forcing the rotary disk to do a reciprocating movement in limited amplitude. The periphery of the rotary disk forms annular chambers. The annular chambers accommodate a pressure forming medium. More than one variable volume chambers are formed in the annular chambers, and the periphery of the rotary disk is provided with a plurality of spacers which has equal quantities as that of the variable volume chambers. The spacers can press or draw the medium and further regulate and stop the rotation of the planet wheel.

A controllable throttling device is provided in order to selectively throttle a fluid flow pumped between the suction zone and the pressure zone and thereby to brake the gearwheel elements of the planetary wheel set relative to one another. A fluid reservoir, which can be connected simultaneously to the suction zone and to the pressure zone via the throttling device, is arranged in a pump casing interspace formed between a plurality of gearwheel elements of the planetary wheel set.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a continuously variable transmission that includes an input shaft, an output shaft, multiple planetary gear assemblies and a hydraulic system including a pump, a motor and a valve. Two of the planetary gear assemblies, in conjunction with the hydraulic system, work as a speed variation mechanism and as a braking device. A third planetary gear assembly multiplies torque. A sub-transmission serves as the range device, providing for forward or reverse rotation of a final drive shaft or alternately a neutral position wherein there is no rotation of the final drive shaft. In one embodiment, first, second and third planetary gear assemblies, the output shaft, a one-way clutch, the final drive shaft, the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor all have an axis of rotation that lies coaxially with a primary axis of rotation of the input shaft.

The rotary control device, which may be a hydraulic jack or an electrically braked magnetic wheel, provides no propelling motion but rather only provides a resistive torque. In a preferred embodiment for automotive use, the engine torque is split at all times between two mechanical paths. One path drives the web of a minimal orbiter gear set, and the other drives the sun gear of a single, standard planetary gear set.

    摘要: This invention provides the use of a pump to regulate torque in a planetary gear system. The pump is provided with a moveable piston as an end plate. An actuator, attached to the piston, controls the movement of the piston. In one position, the piston is in contact with the internal components of the pump. When the actuator moves the piston, the piston loses contact with the pump, thus allowing a free flow of fluid between the inlet and outlet of the pump. In this configuration, the pump is no longer able to generate the pressure that creates torque in the planetary gear system.

    摘要: A variable speed, reversible transmission that utilizes two gerotor pumps for variable controlling the speed of the output shaft or axle. A rotatable input member connectable to a drive source drives first and second epicyclic gear trains, which drive the two pumps. As the fluid flow through each pump is variably restricted, the epicyclic gears associated therewith revolve about the input member, causing a worm gear intermediate the input member and the output member to variably rotate in a forward or reverse direction. The worm gear transmits rotational power from the input member to the output member in response to the fluid flow restriction through each pump. The present invention also provides for the two pumps comprising a modular pump unit and a system of transmissions employing a common modular pump assembly. Further, the present invention provides engine/transaxle modules in which the engine is mounted on the transaxle housing, and a self-propelled lawn and garden implement having a drive source which includes a variable speed transmission or transaxle which utilizes a pump for variable controlling the speed of its output shaft or axle.

    摘要: A transmission can convert a single speed, single rotary directional input, to a continuously variable clockwise or anticlockwise directional output. This effect can be achieved without disengaging the output shaft from the input shaft. The transmission includes a pair of epicycloidal gear trains having sun gears on a common shaft. A ring gear in the first gear train drives a planet gear in the second gear train. A variable speed drive drives a planet gear in the first drive train. The transmission has particular application in vehicles which require an engine to operate at or close to an optimum speed to match its operational requirements. Similarly engines such as turbines or electric motors which can operate efficiently within a speed range and with a single rotational direction can be used with the transmission to provide power to systems requiring a variety of speeds and reversing characteristics.
