    摘要: A torsional compensator for an internal combustion engine is provided. The torsional compensator comprises a rotor portion and a stator portion. The rotor portion is in driving engagement with an output of the internal combustion engine. The first rotor portion comprises at least one of first magnetic array and a first ferromagnetic array. The stator portion is disposed about the rotor portion. The stator portion is coupled to at least one of the internal combustion engine, a transmission, and a compensator housing. The stator portion comprises at least one of a second magnetic array and a second ferromagnetic array. In response to rotation of the rotor portion within the stator portion, a magnetic reluctance force is generated. The magnetic reluctance force applies a torque to the output of the internal combustion engine to dampen a torque ripple of the internal combustion engine.

    摘要: Motion-damping systems and methods that include motion-damping systems are disclosed herein. The motion-damping systems are configured to damp relative motion between a base structure and an attached component that define a gap therebetween. The systems include an at least substantially rigid tubular structure that defines an internal volume and extends within the gap. The systems also include a magnetic assembly and a magnetically active body. One of the magnetic assembly and the magnetically active body is located within the tubular structure and the other of the magnetic assembly and the magnetically active body is operatively attached to a selected one of the base structure and the attached component. The magnetic assembly is in magnetic communication with the magnetically active body such that a magnetic interaction therebetween resists motion of the attached component relative to the base structure. The methods include dissipating energy with the motion-damping system.

    摘要: A rotary damper includes a damper motor and a damper housing in surrounding relationship to the damper motor. The damper housing has a connection piece for mounting the damper housing to a first mass. An articulated lever is swingably mounted in relation to the damper housing and connected to a second mass. The articulated lever has a lobe which is movable during a swinging motion of the articulated lever in relation to the damper housing along a movement path between two stops which are connected to the damper housing. A gear mechanism transmits and/or converts a relative rotational movement between the first and second masses to the damper motor for vibration damping.

    摘要: An electric damper for a motor vehicle for damping a relative movement between two components includes an electric generator for generating an induction voltage, the generator being drivable by the relative movement and having a rotor and a stator. The rotor includes a rotor shaft that is rotationally coupled to at least one rotor disk. A field-generating ring is provided in which elements that can be magnetized in segments are connected to the field-generating means such that the magnetizable elements are polarized alternately over the periphery of the ring. At least one coil ring with coil windings is provided which are arranged in segments, the coil ring and the field-generating ring being concentrically arranged.

    摘要: An adjustable damper includes a tube body, a driving rod to be displaced in the tube body and to engage a screw sleeve to drive a screw rod and further a fixed seat for rotation. The fixed seat has a plurality of permanent magnets surrounding for circular rotation and an operation element is driven by a rotating element for repeated linear displacement; a magnetic surface is further arranged on an inner periphery of an annular element of the operation element and an annular gap is arranged between the magnetic surface and the permanent magnets; therefore the displacing annular element is able to adjust a damping force of the driving rod by adjusting an overlapped area of the permanent magnets and a magnetic surface, and further adjust an eddy load formed thereby. The damper overcomes the problem of oil leakage and ensures the durability and quality with its adjustability.

    摘要: A long-range optical device has at least one optical channel which comprises a housing and an arrangement of optical elements. At least one of the optical elements is movable relative to the housing for image stabilization in the event of perturbing movements of the housing. The device further comprises a stabilization system for the at least one movable optical element, which has an eddy current damper for damping movements of the at least one movable element. The stabilization system, in the event of a displacement of the at least one movable optical element, generates a restoring force proportional to the displacement velocity of the at least one movable optical element. The eddy current damper comprises a magnet system and an eddy current carrier interacting therewith. The restoring force generated by the eddy current damper is dependent on the amplitude of the displacement of the at least one movable optical element.
