摘要: The present invention pertains to a wear pad for a telescopic boom of a work machine, comprising a base part configured to be fixedly mounted to the telescopic boom, and a top layer part configured to provide a wear-resistant, low friction sliding surface. The top layer part is configured to be releasably mounted to the base part. The invention further pertains to a telescopic boom assembly for a work machine, comprising a first boom segment having at least one first wear pad assembly mounted to a free end of the first boom segment, and a second boom segment having at least one second wear pad assembly mounted to a sliding end of the second boom segment, wherein at least one of the wear pad assemblies comprise a wear pad having a base part and a top layer part configured to provide a wear-resistant, low friction sliding surface. The top layer part is configured to be releasably mounted to the base part. Further, the present invention pertains to a work machine comprising such telescopic boom assembly.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a sliding member having an alloy overlay layer that comes into sliding contact with a counterpart member thereof and has improved fatigue resistance. The sliding member comprises a base material layer and an alloy overlay layer formed on the base material layer, in which the alloy overlay layer has a soft metal phase made of tin and precipitated in a metallic matrix phase made of aluminum, and when an average aspect ratio of the soft metal phase is defined as A, and its standard deviation is defined as Aσ, A+Aσ is 3.0 or less. In this case, the soft metal phase has a shape close to a sphere without elongating in a certain direction.

摘要: A rolling bearing has an outer diameter surface of the outer ring which is a fitting surface with a housing and the inner diameter surface of the inner ring, which is a fitting surface with a shaft. The outer diameter surface of the outer ring or the inner diameter surface of the inner ring is coated with a bonded film containing an organic binder, a solid lubricant powder such as molybdenum disulfide powder, and a friction/wear modifier such as antimony oxide powder. According to the rolling bearing, a creep resistance is kept excellent without causing increase in cost and size and being deformed and softened.

摘要: Methods of producing an assembly, e.g., a bearing assembly, for a vehicle, with reduced thermal expansion in a linear direction as well as methods for minimizing linear thermal expansion in an assembly, are provided. The assembly has at least two components with substantially different linear coefficients of thermal expansion (CLTEs). The assembly has a lightweight planar metal component (e.g., a housing) with a first CLTE, a second component (e.g., a bearing component) having a second CLTE, and a polymeric composite with a third CLTE. The first CLTE is greater than the second CLTE. The third CLTE is less than or equal to the second CLTE, so that the polymeric composite structure attached to the first planar metal component reduces thermal expansion of the first planar metal component in at least one linear direction and minimizes separation of the second surface of the first planar metal component from the second component.
