Abstract: A sanitary clamp with facing ring halves employs one or more threaded closure devices configured to avoid having any threads exposed to the ambient. A bolt member may have a stepped shaft with a first smooth shaft portion and a male-threaded tip portion. The latter may be the same or a smaller diameter. An associated nut member has a blind bore that extends from a first end of the nut, with a first smooth wall portion and a second female threaded bore portion. The second female threaded portion may have the same bore diameter, or the bore can have a stepped interior diameter with the second female threaded bore portion having a diameter smaller than the first smooth wall portion. A seal member or gland within the smooth wall bore portion closes off a space defined between said the tip portion of the bolt member and the female-threaded bore portion. Once installed, there are no threaded surfaces of the bolt member or the nut member that are exposed to the ambient.

Abstract: A fast-dismounted cymbal-locking nut being screwed through an outer thread of a mounting bolt of a cymbal to press the cymbal tightly and adjust the position of the cymbal, comprises a seat, a first wing, a second wing, and a resilience element. The first and second wings are pivotally coupled to the seat; each of them has a locking position and a fast-dismount position. The first and second wings respectively include first and second semi-spherical threaded grooves, which jointly form an inner thread corresponding to the outer thread at their locking positions. At the fast-dismount positions, the shortest distance between the first and second semi-spherical threaded grooves is larger than the outer diameter of the outer thread. The user can directly mount the nut to the outer thread without screwing the nut through the outer thread. The nut enables the user to fast mount or dismount a cymbal.

Abstract: A self-drilling bolt and nut assembly includes a nut which has a window to permit visual inspection of the fastener thread upon engagement with the nut. The nut also includes a protective cap or receives a protective cap so that upon threadably engaging the fastener with the nut, the drill tip of the fastener is automatically received in the cap. The nut also has at one end a plurality of projections to enhance the locking engagement. The self-drilling bolt may have an integral washer and employ a clamping plate engageable against the washer.

Abstract: A beverage container having a spigot with a faucet for dispensing beverages. The spigot is removably secured within the walls of the beverage container by a hex nut having exterior protuberances or nibs. The faucet is removably secured to the spigot outside of the beverage container by a winged connector backed by a spring clip for removably securing the spigot to the faucet. The winged connector is used as a key for engaging the nibs or protuberances of the securement nut for causing it to turn and be tightened or loosened from the threads of the spigot, thereby allowing the removal of the spigot from the beverage container.

Abstract: The present invention involves a construction sheet material installation tool used to assist a worker to install sheets of material that would ordinarily require more than one worker. The tool includes a screw that has its non-threaded end embedded into a base, and the threaded portion of the screw extends outwardly perpendicular from the top surface of the base. The base has at least one side ledge that extends downwardly from the top surface at an obtuse angle. The top surface and side ledge of the base are all widened as to provide support to common construction sheet material without damaging the same. It is used by partially screwing into the overhead surface on which the construction sheet material will be installed to leave a gap. One end of the construction sheet is lifted to engage the side ledge of the device. The construction sheet material is then pushed upward from its opposite end into the gap and securely held in place by the invention, until the sheet material can be permanently installed.
