    摘要: The invention relates to a method for supplying fuel to a combustion engine which has an air inlet provided with a gas valve and an output shaft and wherein a fuel line in which a fuel supply device is arranged debouches into the air inlet. The method comprises of providing a pump with an adjustable, substantially continuous flow rate for the fuel supply device, determining the position of the gas valve, determining the rotation speed of the shaft, ascertaining herewith the required fuel flow rate and adjusting the pump accordingly. The invention further relates to a combustion engine of which the fuel supply is controlled as according to the above specified method.

    摘要: An electronic fuel injection device for pumping fuel to an internal-combustion engine by using the expansion-contraction characteristics of a piezoelectric device. The electronic fuel injection device has a pump member integrally formed and having a number of pistons corresponding to the number of cylinders of the associated internal-combustion engine, and a single actuator for driving the pump member. Accordingly, the same pressure is generated in all of the pump chambers when the pump member is driven by the actuator for each fuel injection cycle. Each pump chamber is connected to a fuel feed passage connected to a fuel tank and to a fuel injection passage connected to a fuel injection nozzle, and is filled with the fuel. The pump chambers are pressurized uniformly to distribute the fuel uniformly to the cylinders regardless of the passage characteristics of the fuel injection passages.

    摘要: An electronic and mechanical fuel feeding system comprises a mechanical fuel induction system coupled with an electronic fuel injection system through a diverter valve in fluid communication with a mechancial pump. The diverter valve includes a valve actuator responsive to an electrical signal to couple the inlet of the diverter valve with the outlet of the valve connected in fluid communication with electronically controlled injector nozzles. Alternatively, absence of an electrical control signal at the valve actuator causes coupling of the inlet of the diverter valve to a second outlet coupled in fluid communication with a mechanical carburetion system. In the preferred embodiment, the electronic fuel injection system comprises a control circuit responsive to changes in engine speed, manifold pressure, exhaust gas temperature and cylinder temperature so that accurately metered amounts of fuel are delivered by the injector nozzles to the engine cylinders. Since the amount of fuel supplied to the injector nozzles by a mechanical pump may exceed the amount necessary to efficiently operate the engine, a fuel return line downstream of the injector nozzles returns excess fuel to the fuel tank through a restricted orifice to prevent excess depletion of fuel at the injector nozzles.

    摘要: In a fuel injection apparatus for internal combustion engine wherein a hot wire sensor is provided in an air bypass communicating the upstream side of a Venturi portion formed in an air-intake path with the Venturi portion, the amount of air flowing in the air bypass is controlled by an air-scaling valve driven by an electromagnetic device so that the output of the hot wire sensor converges to a set level, fuel is scaled by a fuel-scaling valve driven by the electromagnetic device in accordance with the change of the amount of air supplied to the engine, and the scaled fuel is continuously injected into the air-intake path, the set level is determined to a value which is smaller than a maximum output value of the hot wire sensor occurring when the air-scaling valve is fully opened during idling operation of the engine, thereby ensuring that the output of the hot wire sensor can converge to the set level during the idling operation.
