    摘要: A fuel injector is provided which is designed to suppress unwanted vibrations of a nozzle needle-actuating piston, thereby avoiding the injection of an excess quantity of fuel. The fuel injector comprises an actuator and a displacement amplifying chamber filled with fluid to which a large-diameter piston and a small-diameter piston working as the nozzle needle-actuating piston are exposed. The displacement amplifying chamber works to amplify and transmit displacement of the large-diameter piston by the actuator to the small-diameter piston. The fuel injector also includes a stopper which restricts movement of the small-diameter piston toward the displacement amplifying chamber to a given range, thereby suppressing the unwanted vibrations of the small-diameter piston.

    摘要: A valve actuating device is provided which may be employed in fuel injectors for automotive internal combustion engines. The valve actuating device includes an actuator, a large-diameter piston displaced by said actuator, a small-diameter piston operating a valve, a displacement amplifying chamber filled with working fluid to amplify and transmit displacement of the large-diameter piston to the small-diameter piston, and a drain passage. The drain passage communicates with the displacement amplifying chamber through a pinhole for draining the working fluid within the displacement amplifying chamber, thereby enabling the pressure in the displacement amplifying chamber to be released in order to ensure the movement of the small-diameter piston when the valve actuating device is started.

In order to compensate for a leakage in the coupling chamber that is intermittently under high pressure during a switching procedure, a filling valve is provided that is disposed radially on the coupling chamber, but outside the chamber, and this valve monitors an inflow from an inlet conduit that is under ambient pressure in the valve. In this manner, on the one hand, the clearance volume produced by the attachment of the filling valve is very small and on the other hand, the filling valve is independent of the accelerated movements of the pistons, i.e., independent of their acceleration forces.     摘要: A piston can reciprocate in a piston guide cylinder in an axial direction and has a cavity on a piezo driver side thereof. If the piezo driver is energized, a tip of a projecting section of a pushing member pushes a bottom wall of the piston defining the cavity. If fuel pressure of a pressure control chamber increases via a pressurization chamber and a communication passage due to pressurization by the piston, a needle moves in a valve-opening direction against a first compression coil spring. Since the piston has the cavity, a movable mass of the piston is reduced while securing axial length of a sliding section. Thus, fuel leak from the sliding section between the piston and the piston guide cylinder can be suppressed, and an inertial resistance caused in the piston can be reduced.

    摘要: A fuel injector device, for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, has a nozzle valve and nozzle valve control assembly adapted to use a control valve and high pressure fuel in the fuel injector in order to actuate movement of the nozzle valve between an open position to inject fuel and a closed position to terminate fuel injection. The nozzle valve control assembly employs a pressure balancing control valve so that the fuel pressure exerts a zero net force on the control valve in a dimension along which the control valve moves. Thus, the actuation occurs independently of the fuel pressure. In addition, the actuator is operably connected to the control valve by at least a hydraulic linkage, where the hydraulic linkage compensates for changes in the actuator and the injector body due to changes in temperature.
