    摘要: An air flow control device of an engine comprising an air flow control valve arranged in the intake passage and actuated by the vacuum operated diaphragm type drive apparatus. At the cranking of the engine, the air flow control valve is held in the closed state. When the engine speed exceeds a predetermined engine speed, for example, 400 rpm, a valve open signal for the air flow control valve is given to the vacuum operated diaphragm type drive device. After the valve open signal is given, during the valve opening delay period of the air flow control valve, an opening area of the idling speed control valve is increased.

    摘要: A power and deceleration governor for automotive engines according to the present invention, may conveniently take the form of a carburetor power and deceleration system incorporating an intake manifold, vacuum controlled, butterfly type mixture flow control valve, that is disposed downstream of an idle system injection outlet of a carburetor for an automotive engine. The flow control valve is operative to terminate injection of fuel mixture into the intake manifold of the engine during phases of the engine deceleration to allow full flow of idle fuel mixture during idling of the engine and to restrict the flow of fuel mixture during acceleration above a predetermined maximum rate. The system may also incorporate means for metering exhaust gases from the exhaust manifold of the engine to the intake manifold downstream of the flow control valve of the power and deceleration and governor system. A sliding cylinder release valve, the position of which is controlled by the throttle shaft of the engine, allows a manifold vacuum energized disphragm motor to control the position of the butterfly valve responsive to the pressure condition of vacuum in the intake manifold. The deceleration governor system may also incorporate an idle override system that opens the butterfly throttle valve when the engine reaches idle speed and allows engine operation to continue through the conventional function of the carburetor idle circuit.

    摘要: An embodiment of an induction system for internal combustion engines that permits maximum power output while at the same time insuring good running at low speeds without loss in mid-range torque. Independent intake passages communicate with each chamber of the engine. A throttle valve arrangement is included that includes a first manually operated throttle valve positioned in a common portion of the intake passages, a second manually operated throttle valve that is positioned in the first intake passage between the first throttle valve and the chamber, and a third throttle valve positioned in the second intake passage between the first throttle valve and the chamber. A linkage system interconnects the first and second throttle valves so that the second throttle valve is opened at a predetermined degree of opening of the first throttle valve. The linkage causes the first and second throttle valves to reach their fully opened position simultaneously. The third throttle valve is automatically positioned in response to intake system vacuum.

    摘要: A second throttle valve is placed in a suction conduit through which an air fuel mixture passes to the engine cylinders, the second throttle valve being disposed downstream of a manually operated first throttle valve and being connected to a device which is responsive to the suction pressure prevailing in the conduit when the first throttle valve is closed such that the second throttle valve is also closed, there being an air inlet conduit opening into the supply conduit to supply a measured burst of ambient air into the supply conduit downstream of the second throttle valve to compensate for admission to the cylinders of fuel adhering to the walls of the supply conduit whereby the air fuel ratio of the mixture supplied to the cylinders is maintained. Additionally, the first and second throttle valves are coupled together and a spring is interposed between the second throttle valve and the device responsive to the suction pressure in the supply conduit so that when the first throttle valve is opened during acceleration, the second throttle valve is opened therewith against the opposition of the spring irrespective of the pressure prevailing in the supply conduit.
