Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a swash-plate hydraulic motor or a swash-plate hydraulic pump having a structure in which the swash plate can be stably held without mounting a shoe to the swash plate-side end of a tilt control piston. An example of the embodiment of the present invention is a swash-plate hydraulic motor (1). A spherical section (8b) is integrally formed on the swash plate-side end surface of a tilt piston (8), and a groove (10) into which the spherical section (8b) is fitted in a slidable manner is formed in the support surface (7b) (second support surface (7b2)) of the swash plate (7). The groove (10) is a part of the second support surface (7b2) and has a shape having a predetermined width and having a longitudinal direction which is oriented perpendicularly to the direction which connects two pivots (11).
Abstract:
A fuel metering system for supplying fuel to load includes a variable displacement piston pump having an adjustable hanger that is movable to a plurality of positions. The variable displacement piston pump is configured to receive a drive torque and, upon receipt of the drive torque, to supply fuel to the plurality of loads at a flow rate dependent on the position of the adjustable hanger. A hanger actuator is coupled to receive hanger position commands and is operable, in response thereto, to move the adjustable hanger to the commanded position.
Abstract:
An assembly includes a cylinder (232) and a piston assembly (212) housed within the cylinder and configured for reciprocal motion relative to the cylinder. The piston assembly and cylinder include a magnet (230) and coil (234) configured to undergo relative motion of the piston assembly and cylinder. The assembly includes a transition arm (214) and a rotating member (222) coupled to the piston assembly by the transition arm. The reciprocal motion is linear in space and sinusoidal in time.
Abstract:
A control system, method and apparatus are provided in which a wobble plate assembly is adjustably mounted on a piston and cylinder stroke control assembly. The wobble plate assembly is adjustable through various positions relative to the base, thus providing an adjustable tilt angle to the wobble plate assembly and different strokes for the pumping pistons. In another embodiment the wobble plate assembly is affixed to a clearance volume control assembly, thus providing for simultaneous, independent adjustment of piston stroke and clearance volume of the axial device.
Abstract:
A swashplate leveling device has a reciprocative leveling follower movable along a fixed axial pin. The cam is biased into engagement with a swashplate of an axial piston variable displacement hydraulic unit to position the swashplate in a zero displacement orientation when there is no control input to the hydraulic unit. The leveling device has a pair of contact points, one positioned on each side of the swashplate tilt axis in a manner that both contact points engage the swashplate when it is leveled to its zero displacement orientation.
Abstract:
A variable displacement swash plate type compressor operable with reduced vibration and noise and, hence, suitable for use in automotive air-conditioning refrigeration cycle has a main shaft adapted to be driven by a driving power source; a drive plate fixed to the main shaft; a swash plate main part tiltably engaging through an engaging portion with the drive plate so as to be tiltable with respect to the axis of the main shaft and to make a precessional rotation in accordance with the rotation of the main shaft; a piston support rotatably carried by the swash plate main part so as to make a precessional rotation together with the swash plate main part; pistons having one ends engaging with the piston support so as to reciprocatingly move in respective cylinders in accordance with the precessional rotation of the swash plate main part; and a mechanism for causing a change in the angle of tilt of the swash plate main part with respect to the axis of the main shaft so as to effect a control of displacement. The swash plate main part is provided with a balancing portion which cancels an unbalance of mass produced by the engaging portion at a predetermined angle of tilt of the swash plate so as to locate at least the gravity center of the swash plate main part on the axis of the main shaft.
Abstract:
A fluid device of the axial piston type having high and low pressure operating passages, one of which may be an inlet and the other an outlet depending upon the pumping or motoring function of the device and the direction of rotation. The fluid device, which is of the variable displacement type, has a rotatable cylinder barrel with one end of each of a plurality of pistons disposed for reciprocation within cylinder bores at one end of the cylinder barrel, and cylinder ports successively communicating each of the cylinder bores with arcuate inlet and outlet passages formed in a valving face disposed at the opposite end of the cylinder barrel. The other ends of the pistons engage a pivotably mounted thrust plate adapted to impart a reciprocal movement to the pistons within the cylinder bores as the cylinder barrel is rotated. In one example of the invention, the thrust plate is provided with a coupling mechanism adapted to be operated by any one of a plurality of interchangeable displacement control mechanisms which vary the inclination of the thrust plate with respect to the axis of rotation of the cylinder barrel and thus the amount of reciprocal movement of the pistons within the cylinder barrel. The device is adapted to be converted into a manifold system adapted to accommodate a plurality of valves with a minimum of external fluid conduits.
Abstract:
In an axial piston hydraulic device, having an angularly tiltable tilt plate for controlling the stroke of the pistons, the cylinders in the rotor communicate with the high and low pressure ports of the device by way of passages which are positioned between the axes of the cylinders and the rotational axis of the rotor to reduce resistances to fluid flow resulting from rotor rotation when the cylinders are on their low pressure stroke. Additional passages are provided which communicate the high pressure port with the rotor and/or the bearing of the tilt plate to exert counterbalancing forces on these components during operation of the device. On and off-stroke control pistons may also be positioned on the side of the tilt plate opposite the pistons to exert counterbalancing forces on the tilt plate.
Abstract:
A SWASH PLATE PUMP HAVING MEANS TO BOOST LIQUID INTO THE LOW PRESSURE PORT OF THE PUMP WHICH COMPRISES, A GROOVE IN THE INTERIOR OF THE PUMP CASING ADJACENT TO THE VALVE AND FACING TOWARDS A SURFACE OF THE ROTARY CYLINDER BLOCK, A CONNECTION ETWEEN THE PUMP INLET PORT AND THE GROOVE AND MEANS TO FEED LIQUID INTO THE CASING TO ENTER THE SAID GROOVE. THE MOTION OF THE CYLINDER BLOCK OVER THE SAID GROOVE IS ARRANGED TO URGE THE LIQUID INTO THE INLET PORT BY VIRTURE OF THE VISCOUS DRAG EXPERTED BY THE CYLINDER BLOCK ON THE LIQUID IN THE GROOVE.
