摘要： A pumpable inflatable crib bag assembly for supporting a mine roof which includes a generally cylindrical bag having top and bottom ends for retaining and confining a liquid settable grout to be pumped into the bag. The bag further includes an inner generally cylindrical mesh reinforcement disposed within and generally coextending with the bag. This generally cylindrical mesh reinforcement is spaced from an inner wall of the bag and is permeable to the liquid settable grout whereby the liquid settable grout may be pumped through a fill port into the bag to thereby fill the bag and encapsulate the mesh reinforcement. The liquid settable grout is pumped through a fill port which is adjacent the top end of the bag.

摘要： A grout bag assembly (1) is provided comprising an inflatable grout bag (2, 26, 34, 40) having a top (4, 42), bottom (6) and generally cylindrical sidewall (8) with an inlet (10) for fluent settable grout material. An inner bag (14, 28, 38) is attached to the grout bag such that upon filling of the grout bag the inner bag forms a generally axially extending separate compartment (18) within the grout bag. The inner bag preferably has a separate inlet (20) accessible from the exterior of the grout pack after the grout bag has been installed. The inner bag is generally attached to the inside of the grout bag such that a space of optionally varying radial size is formed between the inner surface of the grout bag and the outer surface of the inner bag.

摘要： A support assembly (1) is provided for the roof or hanging wall (36, 114) of an underground mine. The assembly comprises at least one support elongate (30) and a grout bag (2, 60, 80, 90, 102, 108, 120) used in association therewith and wherein the grout bag is inflated with settable granular material or grout (42). The support elongate is substantially surrounded, in plan view, by the grout bag and set granular material or grout contained therein. Preferably at least one cross-member (28) extends generally diametrically across the top of the support assembly and is anchored to the roof or hanging wall by the support elongate. The grout bag is preferably suspended from the end regions of the cross-member. Various grout bags for inclusion in such a support assembly are also provided.

摘要： A load-bearing, pressurized-fluid column apparatus and method for supporting a load or mine ceiling with respect to a support surface or mine floor includes an elongated, flexible sleeve and bladder retain a substantially incompressible liquid. The sleeve and bladder have a collapsed and an expanded configuration. In the collapsed configuration, the sleeve and bladder are not filled, and have a first, shorter length. In the expanded configuration, the sleeve and bladder are filled with the liquid, and have a second, longer length sized to extend to and between the load and the support surface. A valve allows the liquid to be added and prevents escape of the liquid. A base can seal a lower end of the sleeve, and can be disposed on the support surface. A cap can seal an upper end of the sleeve, and can be capable of abutting the load.

摘要： The invention is concerned with a mine support crib of the type which comprises a series of superimposed layers of elongate chocks. There is a plurality of parallel, spaced apart chocks in each layer with the chocks in one layer arranged transversely to the chocks in the adjacent layer or layers so that the chocks in a given layer, other than the bottom layer, cross the chocks in the layer below at crossing points which are located inwardly of the ends of the chocks. According to the invention, operatively upper and lower surfaces of the chocks are formed with notches at the crossing points. The notches interlock with one another to lock the chocks together. The notches are of such depth that portions of the chocks which are located between and beyond the notches bear on corresponding portions of chocks in the next layer but one below.

摘要： The prop headboard is used to support an inflatable grout bag on the head of an elongate prop. The headboard has a timber frame which presents a planar support surface suitable for supporting the inflatable grout bag. Bag-retaining flaps made of flexible fabric material extend from opposite edges of the headboard. These flaps are folded over the grout bag and serve to centralise it on the headboard and to restrain it from rolling out sideways during inflation and thereafter. The invention also concerns a prop system in which the headboard is used, and a method of supporting a hanging wall in a mine working.

摘要： The mine prop headboard (10) is used to support an inflatable grout bag (44) and is located transversely on an end of an elongate mine prop (12) which is in use installed upright between a hanging wall and a footwall in a mine working. The headboard includes a chock assembly which is composed of parallel, elongate timber chocks (14). A steel reinforcement sheet is secured to and extends over the support surface of the chock assembly to provide tensile reinforcement a grout bag is placed on the headboard and is inflated with grout under pressure sufficient to apply a compressive axial force to the prop between the hanging wall and the footwall.

摘要： A mining support pillar adapted to provide support between the floor and the roof of a mine, includes particulate material within an envelope of synthetic plastics sheet material, and a plurality of layers of reinforcing material of ductile metal at different elevations in or between layers of the particulate material. The ductile metal has an elongation of at least one-sixth, and preferably more than one-fifth, say, one-quarter or more. The particulate material may be in the form of a plurality of building elements arranged in successive courses on top of one another. The layers of reinforcing material may be provided within at least some of the building elements, or between at least some of the courses. The building elements, singly or in groups, are sheathed or wrapped in synthetic plastics sheet material.
