    Abstract: A valve arrangement is for a downhole apparatus having a tubular body having first and second ports in a wall thereof. The valve arrangement comprises a valve member that comprises a first port associated with the first port of the tubular body; and a second port associated with the second port of the tubular body. The valve arrangement is configurable to be locked in a first configuration with the tubular body, such that the first port is closed and the second port is closed. The valve arrangement is configurable to be locked in a second configuration with the tubular body, such that the first port is open and the second port is closed. The valve arrangement is configurable to be locked in a third configuration with the tubular body, such that the first port is closed and the second port is open.

    Abstract: Provided is an expandable liner hanger assembly and a well system including the same. The expandable liner hanger assembly, in one aspect, includes a radially expandable tubular defining an interior passageway and an exterior surface, the radially expandable tubular having a shallow groove located in the exterior surface. The expandable liner hanger assembly, in accordance with this aspect, further includes a plurality of discrete slip teeth placed within the shallow groove circumferentially around the radially expandable tubular, the radially expandable tubular configured to move from an initial state wherein the plurality of discrete slip teeth are not in contact with a wellbore tubular to an expanded state wherein the plurality of discrete slip teeth are in gripping engagement with the wellbore tubular.

    Abstract: A layer of permeable material is positioned on an area of lost circulation lithology in a wellbore. An example of the permeable material includes a planar member with perforations that is rolled into and retained in an annular configuration. The permeable material is lowered into the wellbore adjacent the area of lost circulation and allowed to unroll and expand radially outward against walls of the wellbore. The wellbore wall along the area of lost circulation lithology can be reamed out so the layer of permeable material is out of the way of a drill bit. Applying a bridging agent on the interface where the permeable material contacts the wellbore wall forms a flow barrier.
