    摘要: A window assembly for a vehicle includes a fixed frame having a pair of opposite side frame members, an upper frame member and a lower frame member. A fixed window panel is disposed at a lower portion of the side frame members and at the lower frame member. A movable window panel is movable relative to the fixed window panel and the frame between an opened position and a closed position. Each of the side frame members includes a lower channel for receiving a side perimeter edge region of the fixed window panel and an end region of the lower frame member. An elastomeric seal is overmolded along the lower channel of the side frame member and is configured to receive and seal against (i) the side perimeter edge region of the fixed window panel and (ii) the end region of the lower frame member.

    摘要: A supplemental window apparatus includes a foot and a first constraint element attached to the foot. The foot and the first constraint element are configured to be detachably coupled to a window pane of an existing window through a mating constraint element. A spacer is coupled to the foot and is configured to extend at least partially in a direction perpendicular to the window pane when installed on the existing window. A substantially non porous sheet is coupled to the spacer and has a sheet area substantially similar to a window pane area defined by the interior surfaces of the first window element holding the window pane. The spacer substantially defines a gap between the sheet and the window pane when installed on the existing window. The foot extends outward from the spacer toward the interior surfaces of the first window element.

    摘要: A vehicle door is provided with: a main sash that is disposed above a door main body and that encircles a window opening; and an auxiliary sash of which the upper end abuts the main sash. The auxiliary sash is provided with: a second vehicle interior wall abutting a first vehicle interior wall of the main sash; a second vehicle exterior wall abutting a first vehicle exterior wall; and a second bottom wall coupling the second vehicle interior wall and the second vehicle exterior wall. A notch that is notched alongside the first vehicle exterior wall is formed solely at the second vehicle exterior wall. The bottom end of the notch is disposed below the tip side of the second bottom wall and the top side of the second vehicle interior wall formed contiguously.

    摘要: A sash window includes a fixed frame in which at least one inner sliding frame can slide between an open position and a closed position of the window, and at least one sliding or fixed outer frame, seals being interposed between the fixed frame and the inner sliding frame, a sealing system including, for the inner sliding frame, two lateral seals, a top cross-member seal, for the outer frame, and a bottom cross-member seal. Additionally, the invention the sealing system includes intermediate seals that join on each side of the sliding frame the cross-member seals and the lateral seals, so as to form a continuity of sealing between these seals in the closed position of said inner sliding frame. The lateral junction region between the inner sliding frame and the outer frame is thus connected by a sealing system that makes them sealed vis-à-vis each other.

    摘要: A single or double hung window assembly has a rectangular main frame supporting at least one rectangular sash frame for vertical sliding movement, and each frame has members formed from extrusions including rigid plastics material. A horizontal upper sash rail or member is reinforced by an elongated and continuous metal stiffening channel having a width substantially greater than its height and defining a longitudinally extending and upwardly facing undercut cavity. End portions of the stiffening channel support retractable sliding tilt latch bolts each having a snap-fit connection to a corresponding actuator slidably mounted on the upper sash rail. A sash lock member is also mounted on the upper sash rail and is secured to the stiffening channel. A pre-assembly of the stiffening channel and latch bolts is inserted through an opening in a vertical sash frame member, and stiffening channels are also inserted into other sash frame members.

    摘要: A storm-resistant window includes a mechanism for preventing the blowout of a movable sash when wind pressure pulls the sash outwardly. In a single hung window having a slidable lower sash, the mechanism consists of a first rib projecting downwardly from the bottom rail of the lower sash and a second rib projecting upwardly from the top of the sill member of the window frame. In a closed position of the window, the first rib lies inwardly adjacent the second rib such that, if wind pressure pulls the movable sash outwardly, the first rib will contact the second rib, preventing the bottom rail of the movable sash from moving outwardly. In an alternate embodiment, one of the ribs may be replaced with a channel, so that the remaining rib is received in the channel in the closed position of the window.
