Abstract:
A door stop includes an elongated body defining an axis, at least one attachment structure disposed near a first end of the elongated body, and at least one adornment coupler. The adornment coupler can include a channel formed in the elongated body parallel to its axis and having a cross-section in the shape of an inverted “T”. The adornment coupler enables different adornments to be interchangeably attached to the door stop. An adornment of the invention includes a decorative portion and a mounting structure coupled to the decorative portion. The mounting structure is configured to removably engage a complementary adornment coupler (e.g., the channel) of the door stop, whereby the adornment can be mounted to the door stop.
Abstract:
A door opener includes a driving device having a first transmission member driven by a motor. A push rod is connected to the first transmission member to move therewith. A pressing rod unit is pivotably coupled to the push rod and includes a coupling sleeve, first and second end pieces coupled to the coupling sleeve, and an adjusting screw rod in threading connection with the second end piece. The first end piece is coupled with a first pivotal member coupled with a door. An end of the adjusting screw rod is located outside of the coupling sleeve and is coupled with a second pivotal member pivotably connected to the push rod. When the adjusting screw rod rotates, the adjusting screw rod moves in an axial direction of the coupling sleeve to change a length of a portion of the adjusting screw rod outside of the coupling sleeve.
Abstract:
A security lock that retrains movement of a hinge is described. A locking system that includes a hinge that includes a first connector, a second connector and a pivot pin, the first connector pivotable relative to the second connector around the pivot pin, and a lock configured to be positioned over the pivot pin to restrain movement of the first connector is described.
Abstract:
A cantilevered folding gate (1) may be used with a module (13) which is suitable for fitting in such cantilevered folding gates (1) and includes a transmission mechanism (5) which is accommodated in a housing (14) and which is designed to transmit the movement of a first gate leaf (3) to a second leaf (4) so that the first (3) and second (4) gate leaf open or close simultaneously by folding.
Abstract:
A synchronization apparatus has at least two actuating apparatuses for moving a movable furniture part, and has a synchronization rod for synchronizing the movement of the at least two actuating apparatuses. A first end region of the synchronization rod can be connected to a first rotary part of the first actuating apparatus, and a second end region of the synchronization rod can be connected to a second rotary part of the second actuating apparatus. At least one rotary part of the actuating apparatuses has a spring-loaded contact-pressure part which bears against the end face of the synchronization rod.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments of the present invention are directed towards improved mounting structures and methods for formation of window regulator systems for vehicles. In one exemplary embodiment, a method of securing a pulley to a panel of a window regulator system is provided. The method comprising the steps of: inserting a shaft portion of a first pulley into a first slotted portion and a first cavity of a first mounting structure in a first direction; and deflecting a resilient engagement feature integrally formed with the first mounting structure that is located above the first slotted portion in the first direction when the shaft portion of the first pulley is inserted into the first slotted portion and the first cavity in the first direction, the first cavity and the first slotted portion each being configured for rotatably receiving a portion of the shaft portion of first pulley therein, the resilient engagement feature extending from the first mounting structure into the first cavity and the resilient engagement feature being configured to be deflected from a first position in the first direction when the shaft portion of the first pulley is inserted into the first cavity and the first slotted portion in the first direction and wherein the resilient engagement feature returns to the first position when the shaft portion is fully inserted into the first cavity and wherein the resilient engagement feature is configured to prevent the shaft portion of the first pulley from being removed from the first cavity when the shaft portion is fully inserted into the first cavity, wherein the resilient engagement feature of the mounting structure is the only item that prevents the shaft portion of the first pulley from being removed from the first cavity once the shaft portion of the first pulley is fully inserted into the first cavity and wherein the mounting structure is integrally formed with the panel of the window regulator system.
Abstract:
A cover for either a left-handed or right-handed operating automatic door closer including a body, and a pinion shaft extending from the top of the body, the cover comprising: a housing including a wall and an open rear, the wall having a rear edge and having therein first and second slots, each of the slots extending forward from the rear edge; and a clip including a base complementary to each of the first and second slots, and a flexible hook including a first end connected to the base and a floating second end, the base of the clip being insertable into either one of the slots so that the base substantially fills the one of the slots and the clip is secured to the wall of the housing with the hook positioned inside the housing and opening rearwardly; the housing with the clip inserted into one of the slots being positionable over the door closer with the hook of the clip receiving the door closer; wherein, when the housing is positioned over the door closer, the pinion shaft extends through the first slot and the clip is inserted in the second slot when the door closer is configured for left-handed operation, and the pinion shaft extends through the second slot and the clip is inserted in the first slot when the door closer is configured for right-handed operation.
Abstract:
A device (15) for inhibiting the movement of a closure member, such as a door (1), window or hatch, which is hingeably mounted by means of one or more hinges (3) to a frame portion defining an edge of an opening between two areas of space The device comprises: i) a compression resistive portion; and ii) a holding means (14) for holding the compression resistive portion in a radial gap formed between the closure member (2) and the frame portion (2) as the closure member (2) is moved from a closed position in an opening direction, and wherein, when positioned in the radial gap in use, the compression resistive portion (15) serves to resist movement of the closure member (2) in the closing direction.
