A connector is disclosed for use in forming a joint between a first surface and a second surface. The connector comprises a housing. The connector also comprises a tendon. A portion of the tendon can protrude from the housing through a seal. The seal is configured to sealably cover an open end of the housing such that the tendon can move through the seal and laterally sideways across the open end together with at least a portion of the seal. Also disclosed is a connector system for use in forming a joint, and a method of installing a connector to form a joint, between a first surface and a second surface. The connector system and method comprises and makes use of the housing and the tendon.

The wall joint comprises a pair of walls, each wall comprises a first surface and at least one stud protruding from the first surface, wherein the first surfaces face each other with a gap in between; a mechanical connector having at least one pair of slots, wherein the at least one pair of slots are engaged with the at least one stud of each wall; and cured grout in the gap. The assembly method comprises providing a pair of walls, each wall comprises a first surface and at least one stud protruding from the first surface; arranging the first surfaces to face each other with a gap in between; inserting a mechanical connector into the gap, the mechanical connector comprises at least one pair of slots; engaging the studs with the at least one pair of slots; dispensing grout into the gap; and curing the grout to join the walls to form the wall joint.

A system and method for connecting precast concrete structures includes anchoring a sleeve within a pocket formed in one of the concrete structures, and placing the concrete structures in contact with one another such that the pocket is diposed around a protruding end of a shear connector embedded in the other concrete structure. A bridge is inserted around the protruding end of the shear connector and a fastener is installed onto the protruding end of the shear connector to engage the bridge and urge the bridge in abutting relation with a lip of the sleeve. The pocket is then filled with a grout.

The pan may have side walls, and an upper portion of the concrete block can extend above a top edge of the pan. The block extending over the edge of the pan in a module allows for joining modules to create an extended cement finished surface. Passages may be provided though modules to allow assembly of modules using cables or bolts that extend through the passages of multiple modules.

The post is received in the slot when the first precast panel and the second precast panel are slidably engaged with one another. Also disclosed is a precast panel formed using the kit and a method of connecting precast panels formed with the kit.
