    摘要： A machine for profiling and distributing ballast of a track, having a frame supported on on-track undercarriages and lateral ballast pick-up devices which are adjustably fastened to the frame, wherein each ballast pick-up device is actuated by a conveyor drive. In this, the machine is designed in such a way that, in an inoperative position, the upper contours of the machine are arranged below a delimiting plane which slopes downward in the working direction and extends through a field of vision of a driver's cabin of a rail vehicle to be coupled to the machine at the rear end thereof. Thus, the machine can be employed as a leading wagon of the rail vehicle, wherein sufficient visibility from the driver's cabin to the track is ensured.

    摘要： A ballast regulator machine for dressing the ballast of a railroad bed during movement of the machine along tracks on the railroad bed has a frame for supporting various assemblies for distributing the ballast across the bed and ballast removal apparatus for removing ballast from between the rails to the outside of the rail which comprises a rotary broom assembly including a rotary broom for sweeping the ballast from between the tracks. The broom assembly is disposed for propelling the ballast rearwardly during the sweeping operation. A ballast deflector assembly is pivotally mounted to the rotary broom assembly and disposed for deflecting said rearwardly propelled ballast to the outside of the tracks. The deflector assembly is provided a baffle for deflecting the ballast in a direction which is substantially normal to the center line of the ballast machine.

    摘要： A ballast leveling apparatus mounted on a mobile ballast cleaning machine comprises a pair of endless ballast leveling chains, a vertical pivot in each ballast bed shoulder and supporting a respective chain for pivoting in a plane underneath the track, a rotary drive for driving each ballast leveling chain and a power drive linking each chain to the machine frame for vertically adjusting the chain. In the automatic ballast leveling method using this apparatus, ballast is removed from a surface layer of uneven ballast distribution to a predetermined, controlled depth and simultaneously conveyed to two paths from the center of the ballast bed towards the shoulders while filling any depressions in the ballast bed in the paths of the conveyed ballast with the conveyed ballast to level the ballast bed.
