摘要： A ballast planing machine includes a machine frame supported by undercarriages for movement in an operating direction along a track and comprised of a leading carrier frame which supports a vertically adjustable ballast plow arrangement and a further carrier frame which is linked to the leading carrier frame and supports an operator's cabin and a vertically adjustable, rotary sweeping broom. Mounted to the further carrier frame is also a negative pressure generator of a suction unit for removing excess ballast during movement of the machine frame in operating direction. The suction unit includes a suction tube which communicates with the negative pressure generator and extends in longitudinal direction beyond the machine frame to terminate in a suction nozzle which projects beyond the rearward end of the machine frame. The suction nozzle is operatively connected to a control unit which is installed in the operator's cabin and controls a movement of the suction nozzle between an idle non-operational position and an operational position.

摘要： In a mobile machine for tamping ballast under ties of a railroad track, which comprises a machine frame, spaced undercarriages supporting the machine frame for mobility on the railroad track in an operating direction, and a ballast tamping assembly mounted on the machine frame and comprising a vertically adjustable tamping tool carrier, a drive for vertically adjusting the tamping tool carrier, pairs of vibratory and reciprocatory tamping tools immersible in the ballast upon vertical adjustment of the tamping tool carrier, and drives for vibrating and reciprocating the tamping tools, the invention provides a vertically adjustable device associated with the ballast tamping assembly for gripping and transversely positioning a respective one of the ties, and a drive for vertically adjusting the device. A vertically adjustable ballast broom device preferably precedes the tamping tool assembly for sweeping ballast off respective ones of the ties into an adjacent crib defined between successive ones of the ties.

摘要： A mobile installation for cleaning the ballast supporting a track and subsequently leveling the track and tamping ballast under the ties of the leveled track comprises a ballast cleaning machine movable in an operating direction along the track and a track leveling, lining and tamping machine following the ballast cleaning machine in the operating direction, the track leveling, lining and tamping machine. The latter machine comprises a self-propelled machine frame, two undercarriages supporting the frame for movement in the operating direction along the track, the undercarriages being sufficiently spaced apart in this direction to permit lifting and lateral movement of the track therebetween, a ballast tamping unit mounted on the frame between the undercarriages and comprising pairs of vibratory and reciprocatory tamping tools for tamping ballast under respective ones of the ties, a track lifting and lining unit mounted on the machine frame between the undercarriages and ahead of the ballast tamping unit in the operating direction, and a ballast receiving and storage container mounted on the machine frame ahead of the track lifting and lining unit, the container having adjustable outlet ports for distributing ballast in the cribs. A conveyor arrangement is mounted on the machine frame for receiving cleaned ballast from the ballast cleaning machine and for conveying the received cleaned ballast to the ballast receiving and storage container.

摘要： A ballast machine for plowing ballast from the outer ends of rail supporting cross ties of a railroad bed. The machine is provided with a ballast ridge plow assembly including a slider box having an inner section which is vertically movable by a hydraulic actuator. The slider box is mounted to the frame of the ballast machine. The ridge plow assembly further includes a blade assembly having ballast engaging blades which are disposed for biased, pivotal movement responsive to engagement of the blades with an obstruction on the railroad bed or cross ties. Means are provided for vertical positioning of the blade assembly and for movement of the blade assembly to an "in and up" position for stowing the blades against the sides of the machine and for movement of the blade assembly to a "down and out" position for the ballast dressing operation. The "in and up" movement and the "down and out" movement are both responsive to displacement of the inner section of the slider box.

摘要： A method for the improvement and drainage of a railway track employs a train comprising a working frame-car to carry out the method whereby it is made possible to dismantle and reassemble the track together with its infrastructure. The old track spans are removed, ballast and earth are excavated from the track and replaced by a layer of sand and by new ballast which are distributed, levelled and compacted mechanically. All these operations are taking place in succession through and within the empty frame of said frame-car as the latter is stationary bridging the working site. Two travelling gantries are provided on the train and equipped both with a lifting device for a track span and a lifting and tipping device for buckets. The working car is also equipped with means for excavating, digging, levelling and compacting.

摘要： A mobile track leveling, lining and tamping apparatus comprises a frame assembly mounted on undercarriages and mounting a tamping head, a track shifting unit and a reference system for controlling the track leveling and lining by the track shifting unit, and a drive for advancing the frame assembly in the working direction along the track. The frame assembly comprises a main frame and an auxiliary frame mounted on at least one of the undercarriages, one end of the main frame being adjacent one end of the auxiliary frame. A coupling is arranged between the ends of the main and auxiliary frames to permit at least temporary adjustment of the spacing between the frame ends and relative movement between the frames in the working direction. Track surfacing equipment is mounted on the auxiliary frame and the drive comprises a drive for the auxiliary frame. A control is operatively associated with the auxiliary frame drive for selectively driving the auxiliary frame with the main frame and relative to the main frame.
