摘要： An embroidery unit for use with a sewing machine, the sewing machine having a lower free arm (19) with a cloth feed dog (20), a column (16) with a drive unit, and a top arm (17) with a needle bar mechanism (18). The embroidery unit has a housing (10) which can be releasably attached to the free arm of the sewing machine. The housing has a first, stationary arm (11) provided with a first, stepping motor driven slide (12) movable parallel to the free arm. A second, movable arm (13) extends perpendicularly to the free arm and has a free end and an end attached to the first slide. The second arm is movable above the free arm between the feed dog (20) and the column (16) and has a second, stepping motor powered slide (14) carrying a hoop (15) which, by operation of the two slides, is movable in two mutually perpendicular directions. The second arm is movable to an inoperative position adjacent to the column (16) in order to enable normal sewing without having to remove the embroidery unit from the sewing machine.

摘要： A structure of a motor driven driving mechanism of a sewing machine comprises a motor mounted on one side of the sewing machine and a driving mechanism disposed inside the frame of the sewing machine driven by the motor. A rotor shaft extends out of the cover, the rotor shaft comprises a connecting portion for connecting with the driving mechanism, and at least one resilient element is disposed on two sides of the connecting portion for connecting the connecting portion with the driving mechanism. Since the rotor shaft rotatably drives the driving mechanism, therefore frictional or ramming effects among the assembly parts can be eliminated or at least substantially reduced. Thus noise during operation and the damage to the mechanical parts can be effectively reduced.

摘要： A rotation switching device for a sewing machine having a lock stitching mechanism and an overlock stitching mechanism. The device includes a rotatable operating member and a base disc connected to the operating member and movable in a vertical direction upon rotation of the operating member between a rest position in which the base disc is above the machine mounting surface and an operating position in which the base disc projects downward farther than the feet on the lower face of the machine body. In this position the base disc contacts the machine mounting surface to lift the body of the sewing machine from the mounting surface, whereby the body of the sewing machine may be rotated in a horizontal plane to place either the lock stitching mechanism or the overlock stitching mechanism to a use position.

摘要： A method for embroidering tubular material and the use of an embroidering apparatus therewith, in which the embroidering apparatus includes an embroidering device which is attachable to a free-arm sewing machine. The embroidering device has an embroidering frame, which is horizontally displaceable above the free arm of the sewing machine by a first drive in the X-direction and by a second drive in the Y-direction. An intermediate space is formed, permitting the introduction of a tubular material between the embroidering device and the free arm of the sewing machine. By forming an intermediate space between the free arm and the embroidery device, it is becomes possible to clamp tubular textiles and the like, without obstruction, in an embroidery frame and to pull such materials across the free arm of the sewing machine in order to provide the material with embroideries.
