Abstract: A cleaning composition that includes a first cleaning agent and a second cleaning agent. The first cleaning agent is water-soluble at room temperature and the second cleaning agent is water-insoluble at room temperature. Further, the first cleaning agent and the second cleaning agent are in a total amount of about 15 wt. % to about 30 wt. %, wherein the first cleaning agent and the second cleaning agent are alkyl polyalkylene glycol ether Guerbet surfactants having a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance of at least 10.5 and a formula RO(LO)k(CH2CH2O)mH, wherein R is a branched C8-C12 alkyl group, L is CH2CH2CH2 or CH2CH2CH2CH2, k is from 1-2, m is from 2 to 14, and the LO and CH2CH2O groups are in random or block order. A blend of the first cleaning agent and the second cleaning agent has a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance ranging from about 10.5 to about 12.5.

Abstract: The invention includes a solid rinse aid that is particularly designed for extrusion solid formation and which is effective for creating spotless surfaces after rinsing. According to the invention, application has identified the critical combination of solid surfactants, coupling agents, hydrotrope, and hardening agents that is acceptable in the extrusion process to create a solid. The hydrotrope includes one or more short-chain alkylbenzene and/or alkyl naphthalene sulfonates. The composition hardens quickly but not so quick as to negatively impact the extrusion process. The compositions may also be used to form pressed or cast solids.

Abstract: A vehicle hard surface cleaning composition is provided that includes a surfactant present from 0.1 to 8.0 total weight percent, a hydrotrope present from 0.1 to 3.0 total weight percent, a wetting agent present from 0.1 to 5.0 total weight percent, a protectant present from 0.01 to 17 total weight percent, and a diluent making up a remainder of the composition. A method of cleaning a vehicle hard surface include applying the composition thereto and washing the composition therefrom to leave a residue of graphene or graphene oxide.

Abstract: A disinfecting solution includes hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of from about 1.5% w/w to 8% w/w; at least one readily biodegradable anionic surfactant in a concentration of from about 10% w/w to about 25% w/w; at least one of salicylic acid and salts thereof, in a concentration of from about 1% w/w to about 8% w/w; at least one chelating agent in a concentration of from about 0.005% w/w to about 10% w/w; and at least one low-corrosive non-surfactant sulfonic acid selected from benzenesulfonic acid, benzene disulfonic acid, xylene sulfonic acid, toluene sulfonic acid, cumene sulfonic acid, sulfosalicylic acid, naphthalene mono- or di-sulfonic acid, methane sulfonic acid, and isethionic acid in a concentration of from about 1% w/w to about 15% w/w. The solution is free of acetic acid, furoic acid, phenylacetic acid, cationic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants, aromatic alcohols, halogen acids, phenols, peracid activators, bleaches, and (optionally) benzoic acid.

Abstract: Cleaning compositions that include a non-functionalized alkyl polyglycoside, a nonionic surfactant system, and water. In certain embodiments, the cleaning compositions are substantially free of alkyl phenol ethoxylates. Additionally, some embodiments of the invention are substantially free of butyl cellosolve. The cleaning composition is capable of removing both proteinaceous food soils and hydrocarbon-based oily soils. The cleaning compositions include a biorenewable, environmentally friendly alternative to nonyl phenol ethoxylates and exhibit superior cleaning of food soils.

Abstract: A composition is disclosed for cleaning a membrane. The composition includes: (i) a non-ionic surfactant having the formula: R—O(CH2CH2O)nH, wherein R is a branched, substituted or unsubstituted, C11-15 alkyl group, wherein n is an average degree of ethoxylation, and wherein n is in the range of from 3 to 20; and (ii) at least one of an additional non-ionic surfactant, a water soluble solvent, or a hydrotrope. In one version of the composition, an upper limit of a range of molecular weights of the surfactant is 1300 grams or below. In another version of the composition, the composition has a gel point such that it will be in the liquid phase before and after dilution with any amount of water at all temperatures of 40° F. and above. A method of cleaning a membrane using the compositions is also disclosed.

The surfactant system is capable of forming emulsions with, and thus removing, oily and greasy stains. In a preferred embodiment the surfactant compositions of the invention can remove non-trans fat and fatty acid stains. The invention involves foaming soaking compositions that have some or part of the anionic surfactant present in the same replaced with an extended chain anionic surfactant.
