Abstract:
The invention includes ware detergent compositions which provides superior cleaning and removal of oily and fatty soils, without the production of excessive foam. According to the invention applicants have discovered that use of a quaternary cationic surfactant in combination with a nonionic low foaming surfactant can provide oily soil removal from ware that is superior to traditional warewash detergent formulations. Compositions for alkaline, preferably solid, warewash detergents are disclosed, as well as their use in dish machines and methods of manufacture.
Abstract:
A consumer product composition comprises a non-porous dissolvable solid structure comprising a carrier material, and hydrophobic conditioning agent and particulate spacer material disposed within the carrier material, wherein the hydrophobic conditioning agent has a mean particle size of from about 1 μm to about 500 μm and the particulate spacer material has a mean particle size of from about 55 μm to about 750 μm.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for manufacturing a heavy-duty laundry detergent wipe, characterized by the following steps: (a) hydrophobic coating of a hydrophilic substrate or hydrophilic coating of a hydrophobic substrate for obtaining a multilayered carrier substrate which is solid at ambient temperature, (b) applying a dispersion consisting of a liquid washing detergent and a water insoluble functional additive to the substrate. The present invention further discloses a heavy-duty laundry detergent wipe, comprising a substrate which is solid at ambient temperature and a dispersion applied to the substrate and consisting of a liquid washing detergent and a water insoluble functional additive, characterized in that the carrier substrate consists of a hydrophilic substrate provided with a hydrophobic coating or of a hydrophobic substrate provided with a hydrophilic coating.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a solid free-flowing particulate laundry detergent composition comprising: (a) 35 wt % to 80 wt % spray-dried particle; (b) from 1 wt % to 30 wt % LAS particle; and (c) from 0.5 wt % to 20 wt % AES particle.
Abstract:
A foam manipulation stabilizing composition for use in consumer products includes a plurality of surface-modified particles in combination with at least one surfactant. The particles have an average particle size greater than 100 nm up to about 50 μm and a hydrophobicity measured by a contact angle between about 20° to 140°. The ratio of particles-to-surfactant may be between about 1:20 to about 20:1. The surface modification may include grafting pH or temperature switching functional groups to the particles or to a composition, such as a polymer, coated on the particle. A method for reducing the level of foam in a rinse solution is also described.
Abstract:
A granular washing, cleaning or treatment agent additive, comprising 5 to 90 wt % of a particulate carrier material having an oil absorption capacity of at least 100 ml/100 g and 10 to 80 wt % of capsules in which one or more beneficial agents are enclosed, can be produced in that the particulate carrier material is fluidized, a pourable capsule preparation is applied to the carrier material, and the mixture thus obtained is granulated.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an aqueous composition comprising three components. The first component is a primary detergent, non-ionic surfactant with a critical packing parameters (CPP) of ≧0.95. The second component is a inorganic particle whose surface has been modified to improve stability. The third necessary component is a secondary surfactant with a CPP of ≦0.85. The secondary surfactant can function to improve the overall cleaning performance, the streaking performance and provide overall formulation stability.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to an aqueous composition comprising one or more amphoteric, organic polynitrogen-compounds having at least 3 nitrogen atoms contained in the molecule in the form of an amine and/or amide and one or more types of inorganic nanoparticles, a concentrate comprising said composition and to a method for treating and/or cleaning a surface which uses said composition.
Abstract:
This invention relates to improved powder cleaning compositions and methods for cleaning textile substrates, especially carpet and upholstery fabrics. More particularly, this invention relates to powder cleaning compositions that contain absorbent particulate materials in a flowable form, which dries to a soil ladened powder, that can be removed by vacuum, brushing, and/or laundering methods. The improvement lies in the ability of the composition to remain a flowable powder, while containing a higher water content than previous-powder cleaning compositions. The composition comprises an absorbent particulate material, a super absorbent polymer, and other ingredients.
Abstract:
This invention relates to solid forms of polymeric colorants and the methods and processes for manufacturing the solid colorants. These solid polymeric colorants may be provided in the form of a free-flowing powder and may be useful for coloring solid pucks, tablets, powder detergents, soaps, fertilizers, personal care products, adhesives, sealants, thermoplastic polymers, thermosetting polymers, and the like.
