Abstract:
A solution having improved stain removing properties on hard surfaces, carpets and fabrics, that is easier to handle (stored or transported at lower temperatures and less corrosive) and that is environmentally friendly. The stain removing solution includes the following components: a surfactant selected from the group consisting of alcohol ethoxylates, alkyl sulfates, alkyl ether sulfates, alpha olefin sulfonates, alkyl phosphates, alkyl amidopropyl betaines, alkyl betaines, amphoacetates, amphoproprionates, amphosulfonates, amine oxides, alkanolamides, sulfosuccinates, and sultaines, a hydrotrope, and a solvent. The surfactant is preferably an alcohol ethoxylate. The hydrotrope is preferably lauramine oxide. The solvent is preferably a dibasic ester or a glycol ether. The solution may further comprise a diluent, a mild acid, and/or a preservative. A mild acid can be added to lower the pH of the solution.

Articles for cleaning debris from a hard surface are described herein, the articles include a hard surface cleaning composition which includes from about 0.1% to about 50% by weight of the composition of a detergent surfactant and a pad including a core and adapted to contact the hard surface. The core comprising up to about 50% cellulosic material. They are high sudsing, have excellent soap scum removal and hard water deposit removal properties and are easy to rinse. A sprayer, methods of use and kits are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A hard surface cleaning composition comprising: a) from 1% to 60% by weight of the composition of a surfactant system wherein said surfactant system comprises an anionic and amphoteric/zwitterionic system wherein the amphoteric to zwitterionic weight ratio is from about 2:1 to about 1:2; and b) from 0.1% to 10% by weight of the composition of a cleaning amine of formula: wherein R1 and R4 are independently selected from —H, linear, branched or cyclic alkyl or alkenyl having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms; and R2 is a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl or alkenyl having from 3 to 10 carbon atoms, R3 is a linear or branched alkyl from 3 to 6 carbon atoms, R5 is selected from —H, linear, branched or cyclic alkyl or alkenyl having from about 3 to about 10 carbons, methyl or ethyl and n=0-1.
Abstract:
The invention relates to drain cleaning compositions including relatively high concentrations of a hypochlorite oxidizing agent and a hydroxide (e.g., 4 to 12% and 2.5 to 10%, respectively. The composition further includes a surfactant (e.g., a surfactant blend, water, and exhibits a very high pH (e.g., at least 13). The composition is monophasic, even at high oxidizing and hydroxide concentrations. The surfactant may include a blend of an uncharged surfactant (e.g., an amphoteric surfactant or nonionic surfactant) and a charged surfactant (e.g., anionic, cationic, or a surfactant that becomes so under the high pH conditions of the composition). The ratio of charged to uncharged surfactant may be at least 1:10, e.g., from 1:10 to about 1:50.
