    摘要: Provided are a phthalocyanine pigment that is non-water soluble and has antibacterial or antiviral effect, and inks, printed matter, paints, coatings, plastics, fibers, films, cosmetics, and the like containing the pigment. A specific phthalocyanine pigment has antibacterial or antiviral effect, although the pigment is non-water soluble, and has significantly high performance in terms of heat resistance and light fastness, compared with a dye-based antibacterial colorant, because of being a pigment. Because of being a pigment, the phthalocyanine pigment also has antibacterial and antiviral effects in applications such as inks, printed matter, paints, coatings, plastics, fibers, films, and cosmetics, thus achieving the task described above.

    摘要: The present invention provides an electrophotographic photosensitive member which can output images with reduced image defects due to ghosting not only under a normal temperature and normal humidity environment but also even under a low temperature and low humidity environment as especially severe conditions, and a manufacturing method thereof; and a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus each having the electrophotographic photosensitive member. Accordingly, the electrophotographic photosensitive member of the present invention having a support and a photosensitive layer on the support includes the photosensitive layer which contains a solid solution of hydroxygallium phthalocyanine and a compound represented by the following Formula (1) or Formula (1)′, the solid solution having peaks at Bragg angles 2θ of 7.4°±0.3° and 28.3°±0.3° in CuKα characteristic X-ray diffraction.

    摘要: The invention provides for a pagewidth printhead unit for a printer. The unit includes two integrated circuits laid end-to-end, each having micro-electromechanical nozzles for ejecting printing fluid. The unit also includes an ink distribution plate for feeding printing fluid into apertures defined in the integrated circuits, and an ink distribution molding defining a plurality of elongate conduits for distributing printing fluid to the plate along a length of the printhead. The unit further includes a printed circuit board (PCB) configured to relay data signals from a printer controller to respective ends of the integrated circuits, as well as a support member for holding the integrated circuits, plate, molding and PCB in alignment.

    摘要: This invention provides a novel process for preparing soluble phthalocyanines by microwave irradiation in the absence of any organic solvent. Three different starting materials, i.e. t-butylphthalic anhydride, t-butyl phthalonitrile and metal-free H2Pc (tetra-t-butylphthalocyanine) have been adopted, respectively. The starting material with proper metal compound, such as chloride or acetate were irradiated in a commercial microwave oven for a period of 1 to 30 minutes at a power of 200˜900 W. This process is noted to reduce drastically reaction time of MPc formation from 8˜24 hours to 10˜30 minutes due to its unique heating by microwave irradiation. Sandwiched type MPc2 (such as Lu Pc2) can be produced only through metal replacement from metal-free phthalocyanine by microwave irradiation.
