Abstract:
A flexible tank is used to transport bulk liquids or semi-liquid materials inside of a multi-modal shipping container. It has water proof inner layers and an outer layer, which are formed and welded together to have seams at both ends of the flexible tank. A discharge valve is provided at one end of the flexible tank and an additional piece of material, referred to as a cape, is attached at the other end of the flexible tank. The flexible tank is situated in the container so that the end with the discharge valve is at the container opening and the end with the attached cape is at the rear of the container. The cape can be used by equipment positionable at the opening of the container to completely discharge the bulk liquids or semi-liquid materials from the flexible tank by pulling and winding up the cape and the layers of the flexible tank from the rear of the container.
Abstract:

The fluid discharge system includes a container, a liner bag, a squeezing device and a driving device, the liner bag is installed in the container, and the driving device is connected to the squeezing device and used to drive the squeezing device. The squeezing device comprises at least two rollers, and the liner bag is formed by welding a front panel and a rear panel and is provided with a discharge port which is arranged adjacent to the weld line at the bottom of the liner bag.
Abstract:
Content containers and vessels, one aspect including a deformable fluid-tight container shell defining an internal volume and separating the internal volume from an external environment; a room-temperature semi-solid content contained within the internal volume; and a valve operationally connected to and disposed at least partially without the deformable container shell; where the semi-solid content is a hydrophobic matrix with at least partially emulsified hydrophilic components; where the container shell is substantially fluid-tight; where the valve has open state(s) and a closed state; where the valve may be actuated between the open state(s) and the closed state; where the valve is self-cleaning; where during the open state(s), the internal volume is in fluidic communication with the external environment; where during the closed state, the internal volume content cannot fluidically communicate with the external environment; and where the content remains moisture-stable while the valve is in the closed state.
Abstract:
A refill dispensing container is disclosed that includes a body portion for containing a flowable substance, a neck portion that is connected to the body portion, a lid that is connected to the neck portion and that defines a hole, a dip tube that is connected to the lid and the hole and that is positioned within the body portion. The container can also include a transfer tube and a transfer nozzle connected to the transfer tube. The transfer tube can be deployed by sliding the transfer tube out of the dip tube, extending the transfer tube, or removing the transfer nozzle from a holder connected to the body portion. When the transfer tube is deployed and pressure is applied to the body portion, the flowable substance can flow from the container into an interior of the transfer tube and can be discharged via the transfer nozzle.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for preparing and dispensing food contents, typically molten chocolate. In one aspect, a device includes a housing defining a first volume; an inner wall positioned in the housing and bifurcating the first volume into separate second and third volumes; a pressure member operationally connected to the inner wall, where the pressure member is actuatable to move into the second volume; an aperture formed through the housing for fluidic communication with the second volume; an actuator operationally connected to the pressure member, a first deformable pouch positioned in the second volume, where the first deformable pouch includes a generally elongated fluid-tight enclosure, liquid chocolate substantially filling the fluid-tight enclosure, and a fluidic conduit extending through the fluid-tight enclosure. Device also includes a fluidic valve operationally connected to the fluidic conduit and positioned without the fluid-tight enclosure.
Abstract:
A dispenser for dispensing serving portions of topping onto beverages and desserts comprises a first compartment portion and a second compartment portion hingedly connected to the first compartment portion. One of the compartment portions includes a backing surface and a bag holding member operable to releasably attach a product bag to the compartment portion adjacent the backing surface. The other compartment portion includes a squeeze member, for example a cylindrical roller, mounted for travel in upward and downward directions. The squeeze member is arranged to contact the product bag when the second compartment portion is closed relative to the first compartment portion. The dispenser also comprises an actuating lever mechanically connected to the squeeze member, for example by a one-way advancing mechanism, wherein the actuating lever is operable by a user to advance the squeeze member in the downward direction to dispense product. The dispenser facilitates cleaning and product replacement.

Abstract:
A microscope slide stainer includes a platform that supports a plurality of microscope slides. The platform includes surface areas, heated by resistive heaters, under the microscope slides. A liquid dispenser is located above the platform and the dispenser and platform are adapted for relative movement with respect to each other. The dispenser dispenses liquid reagents onto a slide bearing a biological sample.
Abstract:
A system for dispensing controlled amounts of flowable materials having a wide range of viscosities, such as food condiments, caulking or adhesives, from a flexible-walled container or bag includes a housing for holding the flexible-walled container and a piston positioned within the housing to apply pressure to a wall of the flexible-walled container. An enfitment, which has a piercing member and sealing mechanism, is positioned adjacent an opposite wall of the flexible-walled container. By rotating the enfitment about a rotational axis generally normal to the wall of the first container, the enfitment forms an opening in the flexible-walled container and a seal with the container. The flowable material can then be forced through a hollow tube of the enfitment and an exit nozzle coupled to the enfitment. A desired amount of flowable material can be consistently dispensed from the flexible-walled container by controlling the displacement of the piston along a predetermined piston travel length for each dispensation of flowable material.
Abstract:
A dispenser for dispensing a viscous fluid food product from a pouch. The dispenser includes a housing configured and dimensioned for receiving the pouch. The pouch includes a food in the form of a viscous fluid therein. The pouch has first and second ends, a sidewall that can be arranged to form first and second opposed surfaces and an outlet. The dispenser incorporates an assembly that includes a roller for pressing the pouch so as to urge the viscous fluid food product toward the outlet. To do this, the roller has a pressing surface disposable in a position adjacent the first surface of the pouch and a planar surface disposed adjacent the second surface of the pouch. The dispenser also includes a closure assembly arranged for engagement with the outlet for closing same. This assembly is also capable of opening the outlet so as to cause the roller to move along the pouch surface toward the outlet by gravity for expelling the viscous fluid food product through the outlet.
